Zeke finally slipped into the slytherin common room, he had snuck out to the Hogshead to make a deal with Alberforth for several bottles of fire-whiskey and red currant rum. It had cost him a little more than he was expecting but Zeke was not worried about that tonight, he would find a way to make that money back, he’d probably just scam a couple of Ravenclaw firsties in a game of exploding snap, he had found a way to rig a fake set that looked identical to the real thing. Zeke broke into the party with a big smile as he tried to make his way to his fellow quidditch teammates, even just walking in he could sense the tension between everyone, as if there was about to be a fight breaking loose at a moment’s notice. Zeke didn’t like to see his fellow Slytherins fighting one another, it seemed like such a waste of energy, energy that could be used on beating up Gryffindorks. Zeke reached into his leather messenger bag as the bottles clinked slightly inside. “Ladies…Ladies!” Zeke announced with his most regal sounding voice as he stepped in the center between the two feuding sisters. “Now, I’ve discovered that in times like this we can do one of two things… you two can fight, and all of us guys will gladly sit back and watch the entertainment…” Zeke smiled looking around at his fellow Slytherins while most of the guys gave a slight nod and a couple gave a smirk. “Or… We can open another bottle of liquor and drink until we can’t even function enough to argue anymore?” Zeke pulled the stopper out of the bottle of fire-whiskey and took a deep drink before letting out a long slow breath. He gave a smirk back to the room, “Personally I’m in favor of the latter as opposed to the former.” Zeke then offered the bottle of fire-whiskey to Astoria as he tossed another bottle of red currant rum towards Daphne and Theo.

”I’d much rather watch them fight,” Archer said, strolling into the common room. He loved when the Greengrass sisters got into it. They were always so vicious. Sometimes, they even got their hands dirty as opposed to just fighting with their words. He had to admit that was his favorite part. Watching the pair of them try and rip each other’s hair out over something so trivial as to who was wearing the better outfit. Women... He scoffed to himself mentally. His hands were stuffed deep in the pockets of his leather jacket, his hair swept in front of his eyes like he hadn’t a care in the world as he began walking toward the action. He strode to the center of the room where Zeke Maxwell now stood, his eyes boring into the back of the boy’s head.
Archer did not like Zeke. There was something about the younger Slytherin that put him a little on edge. Maybe it was the fact that he had seen him as so wishy washy during the war. The boy refused to commit to the Dark Lord and Archer had speculated it was because he was afraid of failure. Or of choosing the wrong side. In that respect, Zeke Maxwell would always be weak in Grayson’s eyes. And weakness was not something that he tolerated. In order to obtain his good-graces, there had to be some sort of conviction there...
Conviction that he saw in Eli. He smiled widely as he made eye-contact with his friend from across the room. Eli was the brains to his brawn...the smarts to his muscles. He had always admired him, but since the war had finished, the pair hadn’t been able to talk much. There was already too much speculation going on around the school. If Archer wanted to talk to him, he was going to have to find a way to stage some sort of a meeting outside of the common room. He would make sure to mention something later. Perhaps he could have Daphne pass along the message. He tore his eyes away from Eli and then focused back on Zeke.
He placed one of his hands on Maxwell’s shoulder and gripped down, moving him out of the way so that he now stood in the center of the room, ”Don’t mind, the diplomat over here.” He said, raising an eyebrow at both of the Greengrass sisters, almost as if egging them on, ”I suggest that we all get incoherently inebriated and then let the ladies settle it from there.” He walked over and stole the bottle that Maxwell had thrown to Astoria and then approached Vivian.
”Here,” He said with a low growl. He had never been a fan of Vivian so much either. In many ways, Archer didn’t get along with the majority of his house. Perhaps it was because most of them had been too afraid during the war. And he didn’t do afraid. He was a man that was convicted in what he believed and never willing to budge or sacrifice. The fact that others had bent and caved so easily to the winning side was beginning to piss him off more than anything in the world, ”You don’t need someone to pour you a drink, little Veela.” He muttered under his breath, leaning against a nearby table, ”Just pop the top and then swig away.” He was anything less than impressed when it came to the Slytherin girl.

There was something about Daphne that just made AJ actually want to kill people. While she'd jokingly cite her mood as homicidal, especially in the vicinity of the conservative teachers, there were only a few times she'd actually consider doing something. She felt the rage surge through her fingers, that rush of adrenaline that meant she was going to fight. But she knew that's what everyone wanted and because they wanted it, she'd deny them the pleasure. However, she'd play along until she got bored. The girl stood up, allowing her blue eyes to sweep over the elder Greengrass. "Ah yes, the usual lines of 'my sister's a crazy bitch,'" AJ drawled, allowing her gaze to sweep over the room. Her eyes met Zeke's momentarily, and then glancing over at Archer, before returning to the serpent before her. Of course, AJ would admit that her older sister was absolutely stunning, and also beat the snot out of them if they decided to sully the family name. That was for the girls to do, not them. They had no right. But besides the affections that did lie somewhere deep within her heart, she would tango along with everyone witnessing this. "Can you not come up with anything new, Daphne?" She asked quietly, allowing a small smile to cross her lips. "See, you never change things up. I do. I go from breaking mirrors, to breaking people's faces in, to climbing walls, to even reminiscing about how I actually can care about someone if I so desire to." In all reality, AJ thought that she was possibly the most boring person in the entire house, but she'd never admit that to anyone besides Eli and Zeke. She then crossed her arms and continued on. "I never do what's expected of me. I think everyone's expecting me to make a sacrifice to the war gods here, but I got my hands dirty earlier..." She flashed her knuckles which had been bandaged for the sake of not alerting staff of her activities. "So I gotta give them something they don't expect." Glancing over at Daphne, she merely smiled in this sickly sweet gesture. "Now why don't you try something different and get to know a guy and fall in love, yeah? Or...Are you afraid of committing, big sister?" Then she glanced at Vivian, and then back at Daphne. The look on AJ's face was hopefully one that her sister could read as, Let's surprise everyone and rip the Veela a new one for fun. Hopefully the Greengrass sisters had been around each other long enough to read each other well. AJ hoped so, at least. The younger sister brought both her hands up in a mocking pleading gesture, and let a wry smile cross her lips. No one would understand AJ to begin with, so she'd might as well confuse them even more.

Vivian ignored the older Greengrass as she spoke to her, and took her drink from Archer Grayson. She smiled, barely noticing as he made a snide comment. What did she care what he said? She'd gotten her drink, hadn't she? That was what she wanted. Why would anything other than getting what she wanted matter?
Vivian walked over to an arm chair. Some Slytherin who was trying to join the so called 'royal circle', but was really just sitting awkwardly and not getting involved, was sitting in it. When Vivian approached he got up, and she smiled sweetly, "You're sure? Oh, well, ok then." Vivian wasn't opposed to using vinegar, but she caught more flies with honey. She sat down, and swung a long leg over one of the arms, her other one tucking under her. She reached into her pocket and took out a silver flask, and flashed a wicked grin at Theo. It was a special potion he had made for her, one he dubbed 'Vivian Felicis'. It was a golden coloured alcohol, delicious, and with a hint of 'things-going-her-way' thrown in. Vivian loved when things went her way. She added a bit to her drink; she wanted to make it last. She took a sip, and then turned her attention back to the conversation, which she had been ignoring till now.
Greengrass one was making fun of Greengass two for something she had done with the mirrors. Apparently she had smashed them all. And one didn't like that? No, that didn't seem to be what the problem was. She just thought that it would upset two to bring it up. She did a mental check for their names; Daphne and AJ. It wouldn't do to say "one and two" by mistake. Vivian wasn't intentionally being dismissive, that was just how she was.
Two- no, not two, AJ- was now saying how she just did whatever she wanted. Vivian grinned. She liked that. "If she wants to smash some mirrors," she said, in that low, bored tone she always had "let her smash the mirrors. What does it matter? Everyone should do whatever they want. All the time. Otherwise, its boring." Boredom was a sin to Vivian, the only sin she recognised "Doing what you want is fun."
Vivian didn't notice the look AJ gave her sister. She would just laugh in the face of anyone who tried to 'tear her down'. Vivian was a sociopath; she didn't feel emotion. Watching others care so much, well, that was just amusing. So she didn't notice. But she never did.
"I'm bored," she said. Vivian was always bored. "Lets do something fun," Vivian was known for having a very wicked sense of fun. She looked around, waiting for someone to suggest something. She looked at Zeke, and smiled. Zeke was very like her, and understood her idea of fun.

Theo’s eyes darted from Daphne to Vivian as she decided to join the party, and with her usual uncaring demeanor she set out and asked someone to get her a drink. She clearly meant her or Eli, since they were the two her eyes landed on, but Theo didn’t budge. They were friends, but he wasn’t about to get a drink for anyone but himself. Call it a selfish streak, but he was really just incredibly lazy. His eyes were diverted from Vivian as AJ began speaking again, and Theo smirked as he bit into his sandwich once more, waiting for the sparks to fly. He knew they were coming. They had to be. It was Aj and Daph for Merlin’s sake! Still, at AJ’s comment about Daphne being good with something between her legs Theo had to stifle a laugh and try it turn into a cough, but the grin that spread across his face was unmissable, and he still managed to let a small laugh escape him. While AJ annoyed him to the absolute core, even he couldn’t deny that that was a good one. But Daphne came right back with her comment about AJ not knowing how to act like a lady, and Theo’s jaw dropped as she walked over and tapped the girl roughly on the cheek, his brows raised in slight shock, a piece of ham hanging slightly out of his mouth. He shut his mouth quickly and a grin replaced it as he finished the bite of his sandwich he’d paused in eating. At Daphne’s mention of AJ sympathizing with muggles he felt his eyes narrow. She couldn’t be… really? Ugh. Just one more thing on the list of why AJ Greengrass perpetually annoyed him most of the time, he supposed. And yet somewhere underneath all of that annoyance he was pretty sure she wasn’t that bad.
His thoughts were interrupted as he felt Daphne rest against him, his arm snaked across her chest. A wicked grin replaced his slightly dopey one. This is one thing he would not complain about. Ever. Despite her royal princess being a royal pain in his ass sometimes. He wondered what AJ was going to do next, and then Zeke was there. Yet another Quidditch teammate to throw into the mix, but every bone in Theo’s body disagreed with what Zeke was saying. Have them not fight?! Was Zeke insane?! Sometimes the political side of Zeke was too much for Theo. The Greengrass sisters weren’t the type to ever get along, so it was almost useless in Theo’s eyes to try and stop it. I mean, why would you?! Sure, Theo got along well enough with the guy, but come on! Theo’s mouth was open once more as he tilted his head as if to say ‘did you really just say what I think you said?’ He would have voiced his concern, but yet another Quidditch player jumped into the mix – Archer. El Capitan! Thank Merlin! At least he knew how to try and talk some sense into Zeke.
“Cheers to that mate,” Theo grinned up at their captain. He couldn’t say he knew Archer very well. He was a wicked Quidditch captain, but other than that he kind of seemed to keep to himself as far as the rest of the team was concerned. And last but not least Grayson decided to be the ‘gentleman’ that Eli and himself didn’t really feel like being, finally giving Vivian her drink, though he didn’t seem too happy about it either. Maybe Archer just had an unhappy disposition. Certainly wouldn’t surprise Theo one bit.
Then AJ was back at it, defending herself against the mirror attack that Daphne had launched. There was so much going on that Theo almost didn’t know who to pay attention to, but, the Greengrass sisters would always win out on getting his attention. They were them, after all, and nobody wanted to miss a good old-fashion Greengrass throwdown. Especially not Theo. And then AJ brought up Daphne’s lack of commitment and told her to try falling in love which was all really a bit awkward, considering he was sitting there with his arm draped across her. Not that it meant anything, Daphne did that with a lot of people, he was sure, but the comment still got under Theo’s skin a little for reasons he couldn’t quite understand, but he remained quiet, and AJ’s eyes turned to Vivian, and so did his. She began to defend AJ and began going on a rant about how you should do whatever you want, whatever is fun.
His eyes narrowed instinctively. Oh, he remembered very well what happened last time she decided she wanted to do what was fun. She was a ridiculous bint, even after he saw her break down in the fashion she did. She grinned wickedly towards him as she drank from the flask he made her and he let out a frustrated sigh through his nose. He averted his eyes, choosing to glare across the room as he resisted the urge not to blow up at her all over again. Even after that day she had no disregard for how others felt. She’d tried to get him to understand, but he couldn’t. You can’t understand what it’s like to not feeling anything once you’ve felt. Especially once you’ve felt the kind of pain that Theo’s felt. He was sure it was nothing compared to whatever it was that turned Vivian into what she was, but he’d rather feel pain and happiness than nothing at all. His eyes turned back to her, making sure he didn’t see a flask with a gold cap on it anywhere. If Vivian had brought that with her too, it was out of sight, and he looked to Daphne at his side, remembering his warning to Vivian that she probably didn’t hear. He looked at Vivian again.
“Well if you’re going to have fun, leave me out of it,” he said simply, chugging the rest of his firewhiskey and tossing this bottle behind him carelessly. It crashed on the floor, much like the one Eli had thrown earlier had. There were a few shrieks of protest from behind him, but they were ignored as he turned to look between the two Greengrass sisters, finally realizing he’d been tense that whole time. He let his muscles relax and he let out a small, angry sigh through his nose, ridding himself of the anger he still held toward Vivian. They'd patched things up since the day she'd kissed him... twice... despite him telling her not to and that it was totally weird, and despite the fact that he told himself he forgave her... he must not have. Not yet. He'd try not to allow his bitterness show, though. He didn't want to be angry with her... that day was just so full of strange events involving Vivian that he didn't like the memory of it. It all left a rather sour taste in his mouth. But he'd try to move on the best he could.
“I’d much rather hear what these two have to say,” he said, his eyes moving between AJ and Daphne. He wasn’t sure what direction their conversation was moving in, but the memory of the last time he was with Vivian when she was bored was still too fresh in his mind, and still made him far too angry for him to want to be involved in another one of her escapades. But he knew he'd likely get dragged in anyway.

Post by ELLIOT MICHAEL JAMESON on Jul 30, 2012 19:45:23 GMT
Eli was amused, to say the least. He couldn't remember having moved so many times before then - back and forth from one Greengrass sister to the other, then to Theo's side in order to not-so-much-whisper a wicked comment that may or may not have been inappropriate - but most likely was. His minor worry for AJ had disappeared almost as quickly as it had come, and he was content to simply watch everyone in the widening circle with a smile on his face, his magic flask rising to his lips on the regular. When they were joined by Vivian, it was with a snicker that he proffered her his flask. He wasn't about to waste his energy by getting her a drink from all the way across the room when there was a perfectly good one in his hands, but he wasn't going to deny his friend her request either. As it was, in the small moment that it took him to outstretch his hand to her, the group had been joined by Zeke and Archer, the latter of whom readily placed a drink in Vivian's hands.
Elliot nodded his head to his teammate in acknowledgement, then turned his eyes to find those of his friend, and their team captain. He knew that he and Archer had some serious talking to do, but that their business would be best to leave for a later moment. He matched his grin before turning back to the center of attention, as AJ and Daphne so loved to be, it seemed. While his mind had merely flitted to the prospect of a secret meeting with Archer, the knowledge of what the meeting would entail had his nerve ends tingling. Elliot was beyond ready to get things started again, in terms of bringing back the rise of the Dark Lord. Even if Voldemort was 'dead', the boy knew it was only a matter of time before someone else stepped up to the plate and tried to bring about the downfall of that Potter brat and all that he stood for. And when that moment came, he and Archer would be at the forefront, their since-made plans ready to spring into action. Oh, yes, he could see it now, and the thought had his eyes glazing over in a wondrous fantasy that involved nothing less than a thousand different spells reserved solely for Potter.
By the time he pulled himself back to the here and now, Elliot's hands were empty, and he saw that his flask was being passed back and forth among the group. All was well, as that was what his brew had been intended for. He was glad to share with his friends, and even happier to encourage the House to drink. He had to hand it to Zeke: that kid sure did have a great party philosophy. Stretching his arm out quickly, Elliot snatched his flask back up and tipped the remaining contents into his dry mouth. He had been getting thirsty, boy! As he coolly blew the smoke out of his mouth, he turned the flask over in his hands - one, two, three, and tipped it to his mouth once more, eager for the long-awaited taste of a fresh batch of his personal concoction. He had to hand it to himself - the boy was a master when it came to...well, everything, really. And he had the marks to prove it, yo.
Simply watching the action, eager for it to began, he couldn't help the frown that appeared at the way AJ was eyeing Vivian. Still, both girls could take care of themselves, and Elliot had to admit that though it was distasteful for two of his better friends to be at odds with one another - girls, at that - the thought of them going at it was just something that made his grin widen. He had high hopes that the entertainment wouldn't cease, and so decided that a prime spot for the action was needed. Nodding in affirmation to himself, Elliot moved behind Astoria for just a moment. He rested a hand on her shoulder, giving it a slight, tender squeeze, then worked his way to the other side of the Common Room. His initial decision had been to stay in the thick of things, but as soon as he started walking, his head had begun to spin. Recognizing that he had a good buzz going, Elliot was in no hurry to destroy that with the theatricals that would undoubtedly follow wherever Daphne and Astoria were - or Vivian, for that matter.
Rolling his eyes, Eli turned his attention to the DJ, tossing him a look of loathing just to instill deeper fear before continuing on his way. He strayed from the group then, allowing them the full-frontal effect that can only come from watching the Greengrass sisters at play. Walking around the area of the Common Room, the boy continued to turn flask to his lips, sipping from the container moreso now that he was on the move. He kept his eyes open for anyone of the female population worth catching up with, but soon found that his exploits turned up cold once more. Bah! Grumbling now, he turned his eyes down and made his way to a corner on the other side from his group of friends, completely oblivious to the female eyes that followed in his wake. Plopping himself down into an armchair with an exhalation of relief, Eli removed the beanie from his head. He ran a hand through his untidy hair, messing it up even more, and kept his eyes on the group he had just left. While he was in no hurry to be caught up in the Dastoria drama at the moment, he was still engrossed enough to keep his eyes on the pair of them from afar; for one never knew when they might do something interesting, and you could bet your buttocks it might occur the moment he looked away. That was something the boy didn't want to miss! Because then it wouldn't be a party, would it?

”Hello Maxi-pad,” [/b] Daphne said as she raised her own flask to Zeke Maxwell in the middle of the room. She had mixed feelings about her little sister’s ex-flame. Sometimes she thought that he was an alright kind of guy and then other times she wondered what he was doing with his life, ”So nice of you to join us.”[/b] Perhaps you should get down off your high horse, She growled mentally, Bloody politicians. She turned her attention to Astoria so that she could get a read on her expression. She seemed to be staring at Zeke and then Archer alternatively and she wondered what was going through the littlest Greengrass’ mind. Vivian always sounded so bored. It was as if she was a broken record forever stuck on repeat, ”Blackwell-”[/b] Daphne turned sharply so that she could see the blonde-haired girl that seemed so utterly bored with everything in her life. It wasn’t a split second later that Viv was complaining about boredom and needing to do something fun, ”Why don’t you do Maxwell over there?”[/b] She asked, pointing to a secluded dark corner of the common room, ”I’m sure he’s fun, right, AJ?”[/b] She knew that she was probably going to push her sister’s buttons, but she couldn’t help it. It was common knowledge that the pair were exes, but exploiting them in front of everyone could lead to trouble. And trouble was probably exactly what Vivian wanted. Might as well give the crowd what they’re after, she thought with a dangerous wink in AJ’s direction. Daphne stared at AJ for a long time before pulling Theo’s arm a little closer around her shoulders. She wouldn’t lie, she was comfortable there, but the talk about commitment and falling in love definitely had her on edge. That wasn’t in the cards...not for someone like Daphne. Not right now at least. There was too much to think about before she would even consider falling for someone. But she couldn’t ignore the feeling that she got in the pit of her stomach every time she felt Theo’s hand twitch a little bit. She had feelings for him, not that she would ever admit it to anyone, especially not her sister - but she had feelings for Nott, ”Not afraid of committing.”[/b] Daphne leaned forward so that she could flash her sister a dangerous smile, ”Afraid of ending up an old maid like you. Virginal and alone for the rest of your life. Perhaps Eli will do you a favor and sleep with you.”[/b] She shrugged her shoulders and then leaned back, adjusting herself so that she was more comfortable against Theodore’s chest. Then she saw it. The look in her little sister’s eyes that could only mean one thing. She sat straight up and pulled Theo’s arm off of her, her eyes glinting with surprise. Oh AJ was good...she was really good. As much as the sisters hated each other, they hated other Slytherin girls more. They were always encroaching on their territory. And Vivian had done quite enough of that lately.
She slowly got up and crossed over to AJ’s chair and perched herself on the arm, ”Vivian, m’dear.”[/b] She breathed, her eyes still all lit up like a child on Christmas...a very sadistic Christmas...but Christmas just the same. She nudged her sister, wondering just what she had in mind for the next attack on the Slytherin Veela. Then slowly, Daphne linked arms with AJ and stared down Vivian, ”Don’t you get tired of being bored all the time? Perhaps you should try to find something to entertain yourself instead of always looking for a bed mate.”[/b] She nodded toward a could of Slytherin girls in the corner, ”I’ve heard that they swing both ways. Perhaps you’d like to give it a go? Might cure some of the boredom you always seem to be harboring.”[/b] She raised both of her eyebrows and cocked her head slightly to the side, her crazy smile playing at the edges of her lips.[/blockquote]

Why not? AJ wouldn't mind playing her sister's games to benefit both of them. The raven-haired girl moved to stand beside the elder Greengrass, as she spoke of Zeke. "A real riot," She replied, with a grin. In front of the rest of the house, she had up a wall...Even with her ex, whom she was relatively close to. Besides, it was up to her to make sure that no one realized the truth. She then quirked a brow. "At the same time he doesn't like women who are too easy..." The girl vaguely wondered if she should take Vivian's side for the whole "she can do whatever she wants" speech. At the same time, she didn't need a un-dimensional Veela who seemed to unseat her sister's relationship with Theo to protect her. Staying silent for a moment, she chewed on her lip and glanced back up at her darling sister. It was that moment that Eli squeezed her shoulder and brought her back to reality. She glanced back at him and gave him one of her trademark "don't worry about me" smiles, winked, and then returned to the action feeling a bit better about herself and what was to come. Of course Daphne had to add a comment that would make her blood boil just a bit. The thought of Eli and her wasn't about the physical aspects. He was incredibly good-looking and she would easily say her best friend was a "sexy beast." It was just the fact that it was her best friend. And she wouldn't let her relationship with him turn into the same damn relationship she had with Zeke. "Oh, oh, yes. Dying all virginal and whatnot. You've told me that before. See, I could probably get whoever I wanted but it isn't about doing it for the sake of doing it..." AJ decided not to go into a deep conversation, but she'd end it with a line that would really hit home. "I'd rather die a virgin than be all stretched out, used up, and have some sort of disease that was contracted because of being careless." With that, she offered Eli a friendly smile but she'd mostly use her relationship with him as a weapon in her arsenal. "I have complete faith that Eli would be a fantastic sex partner if it ever got down to it. It isn't that I doubt him, it's just that I see him as something else than a walking ride." Then she decided it was over. That was it. There was nothing else to say about it, and she'd ended assertively. That was how to get shit done around here. And then it began. She glanced up at Daphne and a playful smile crossed her lips, and she leaned forward and swept her gaze slowly up and down her frame. Almost in a teasing gesture more than anything else. "Oh Daphne don't insult the poor girl! That's just following a consistent cycle of going through all the members of the Slytherin house. I'd suggest broadening your horizons....The Hufflepuffs know how to have a good time, don't they? Either that or perhaps you can give them some of your wisdom, and some of your oh so perfect genes, dear Vivian." She did just suggest that. But then she got a brilliant idea, which seemed more of her usual chicanery than anything else. "Here's another idea if you're not in the mood to fool around. Let's play a game. Oh Daphne, what was that one game we used to play as kids..." AJ trailed off, pouting a bit. "And not the pony one because I refuse to be the pony again while you were the unicorn with wings...Oh man, what was it?" She then smiled wryly, hoping that the elder Greengrass would really sink it in and make it worth it. She was looking for something fun, after all. And these two would give it to her without fail.
