In fact, the true match for a red oak wand is possessed of unusually fast reactions, making it a perfect dueling wand. Less common than English oak, I have found that its ideal master is light of touch, quick-witted and adaptable, often the creator of distinctive, trademark spells, and a good man or woman to have beside one in a fight.
Dragon Heartstring – As a rule, dragon heartstrings produce wands with the most power, and which are capable of the most flamboyant spells. Dragon wands tend to learn more quickly than other types. While they can change allegiance if won from their original master, they always bond strongly with the current owner.The dragon wand tends to be easiest to turn to the Dark Arts, though it will not incline that way of its own accord. ( PERSONALITY ) : Theo is a clever, deceptive, and an incredibly observant individual. He’s the type of person who will observe you from afar before he actually comes up and talks to you. He’s judgmental of mudbloods and people. He’ll judge you by your actions, and he’ll hold those judgments quietly to himself unless you prove him wrong. He was raised to despise mudbloods and as such judges anyone who associates with them, deeming them unfit to associate with himself. He’s incredibly intelligent, but that’s one of the things he rarely gloats about. He can be manipulative, and like most Slytherins he’ll do what he has to reach his goals. No matter what. He’s not completely without a sense of loyalty, though. He’ll stand by those he calls friends, no matter what, and whenever he gets to where he’s going, he’ll remember those who helped him along the way.

Theo’s someone you can tell your deepest secrets to and he won’t tell another living soul if you don’t want him to. He has no need for drama and gossip, and rolls his eyes and scoffs at the people who surround themselves with it. If it involves his friends, though (which it sometimes does), he’ll be at the center of it to defend whoever’s being attacked. Theo learned to play the guitar over the years, and he adores playing, and even singing, though that’s a talent that very few people know. He’ll use it to woo the ladies if he needs to, and occasionally he can be seen practicing outside under the tree on a nice day. Don’t be fooled, though, while he doesn’t walk around doing the things that your “typical” Slytherin would do he’s a Slytherin to the bone, and he’s not afraid to put you in your place if he needs to.

He thoroughly enjoys dueling and verbal arguments, and he’s quite good at both. He likes people who challenge him, and hates when people underestimate him. He’s always got a quick, biting comment or a wise-ass remark to offer to people, but he’s also full of good advice. Theo’s incredibly protective of those he cares about, especially the women in his life. After witnessing what he did with his mother, he feels it necessary to protect and keep close those who matter to him. He never wants to lose someone that way again, if he can help it.

He’s stubborn. If you get into an argument with him, you’re wrong, and he’s right, even if he’s wrong. That’s just the way he is and there’s no changing it, but he adores arguing, so even though he’s completely pig-headed he’ll still laugh about it afterward. He enjoys playing devil’s advocate for people and getting a rise out of them. He’s a skeptical person. He questions things people tell him, and doesn’t think much on people’s gossip unless he finds it out to be true. He also questions people’s motives all the time, which can make him a bit untrusting of others, but the moment you follow through on your word you have his trust, and if you lose his trust it is impossible to get back. Theo is hard to forgive and never forget.

He’s incredibly impatient, and looks for instant gratification all the time. He hates waiting for things, and he doesn’t like when other people play games with him. He’s completely for playing games with them, though. He will deceive and manipulate to get what he wants, and he’s actually a very good liar. His pokerface is impeccable. Theo also has a very quick temper. Say something to piss him off, or something he doesn’t like and he’ll get really loud really fast. He can be very malicious when he’s angry. He knows exactly what to say to hit you where it hurts. Along those lines, he’s also a smooth talker. He knows what to say when you’re upset, too. Theo can also see thestrals. He’s a very guarded person because of the things he’s gone through and witnessed, and he never lets people fully in at first. Eventually you’ll get there, but there are a lot of layers you need to get through, first.

( HAIR ) : Theo has curly black/brown hair that falls over his ears. Some days it’s downright curly, other days it’s wavy. It’s a bit shaggy, but he likes it that way. He wouldn’t get his hair for anything. He thinks short hair looks awful on him. He even hates to get it trimmed, really, but a guy can only take so much before he has to chop it.
( EYES ) : Theo has dark brown, almond shaped eyes. He has very emotional eyes. You can never tell what he’s thinking by his face, but if you look into his eyes, they reveal everything.
( FACIAL STRUCTURE ) : Theo has what most people would call a brooding face. He either looks angry and thoughtful or worried, even if he’s not. He has a medium length nose that sometimes he wishes were smaller on his face, but, overall, he thinks he looks damn good. He sometimes is clean shaven, but most of the time he likes to stay scruffy with a beard.
( BODY STRUCTURE ) : Theo is a muscular man, most of his weight being muscle. He stands at 5’10 and weighs 150 lbs
( ATTIRE ) : In all honesty, Theo prefers to be shirtless whenever he can. If he’s in the Common Room or his dorm, his shirt is likely off. It’s just not comfortable for him. But when he’s out places he’ll be in jeans and an open neck t-shirt, if it’s not his robes.

( HISTORY ) :Theo was on a hot summer day to his parents, Cecelia and Theodore Nott Sr. who had both barely turned 18. It was an arranged marriage between the families, but they seemed to care for each other enough. They’d been told in their sixth year that they were to be married, and subsequently began dating as soon as they heard. Cecelia had gotten pregnant while still at Hogwarts, and spent almost all of her seventh year back and forth from the hospital wing to make sure things were okay, or so Theo was told. Cecelia became a stay at home mother and spent much of her time caring for Theo, who she lovingly called Rory. It wasn’t until he was about seven that the truth about his parents, and how he came about, came out. Both of his parents had been very, very blonde, and for the first few years of his life, so was Theo.

Slowly but surely his hair began to darken. It took some time for them to darken completely, but when they first began to darken is when the fighting started. His parents were constantly yelling about him. How he was different than the child they expected to have, but Theo never quite understood what they were fighting about. There were mysterious owls coming at all hours of the night for his mother, but they remained a mystery to his father. Until one night at dinner. Nott Sr. had placed veritaserum in Cecelia’s tea and asked her about Theo’s father. It was then that the truth was revealed. Theo was the bastard son of Cecelia and Rabastan Lestrange. Cecelia had cheated on Nott Sr. for a good majority of their relationship, with Rabastan, who she claimed as her true love. She had been owling Rabastan since Theo’s birth, and Rabastan knew very well that Theo was his true son. Distraught, broken, and enraged, there at the dinner table, Nott Sr. cast ‘avada kedavra’ and murdered his wife. That sight is something that Theo will never forget. He’ll never forget the jet of green light that shot forth from his father’s wand, the scream that his mother produced, however brief it had been, and the stiff, pale body as it hit the ground with a thud. He screamed, cried, and ran from his home. He didn’t get very far before Nott Sr. caught up with him, and dragged him back to his house, screaming. The neighbors paid no mind at all. Theo hated them all for it.

“I’m living with a monster!” the seven-year-old shouted, his voice high and hoarse and afraid.

“I’m your legal father and you’ll do well to remember that!” Nott Sr. spat at him. Days later, the family found a will. In it, it said that Cecilia’s last request is that Theo live and be cared for by his real father, Rabastan. Rabastan had every right to the child, but in one last act of spite Nott Sr. ripped up the will and threw it into the fire. Theo tried owling Rabastan, tried telling him what happened. Rabastan was broken at the news of Cecelia’s murder, but he knew he couldn’t report it or Nott would come after him next. Theo tried to owl Rabastan countless times, but Nott Sr. always caught him, and in turn beat him. At one point he broke Theo’s nose, which is one reason he believes it’s as medium shaped as it is. Nott Sr. was one of the death eaters who hid after the first defeat of Voldemort, and did not try and bring him back. Voldemort forgave him, of course, and he was allowed to call himself a death eater once more. Theo thought his father was a coward. Voldemort was the most powerful wizard in the world, how dare he hide and be ashamed of his name. Spineless. What a perfect word for his pathetic “father.”

Theo began attending Hogwarts at the age of eleven and was easily sorted into Slytherin house. Being born and raised by family of such prejudice and stature, it was a natural fit. He was so thankful for Hogwarts because it got him away from that lying filth he’s forced to call a father. He wanted to owl Rabastan right away, as soon as he was in Hogwarts, but he was afraid. He was away from his father. What if after all those years Rabastan didn’t want him? It wasn’t until his fifth year that he began correspondence with Rabastan. The two have yet to formally meet, but he’s hoping that one day, if the forces rally again, he’ll finally meet his true father and escape the hell of living with Nott. Sr.
In his third year Theo became a beater for Slytherin house, finding he needed something ‘constructive’ to put all of his anger into. He enjoys the sport of Quidditch very much, and often imagines the bludgers as Nott Sr.’s head.

Theo has had several flings here and there but has never been able to find a girl he can tolerate for more than a little while. However, that doesn’t mean he’s not looking. A relationship, for Theo, is a bit enticing. He likes the idea of having someone to call his and his alone, but being as guarded as he is can sometimes prevent a problem. So, until the right girl comes along, Theo’s fine with taking whatever he can get from women.
