Theodore Nott. Sr
Theodore Sr. Presently: Theodore is currently in hiding after the second fall of Voldemort, and is slowly but surely trying to regain his reputation and assimilate himself back into the wizarding world as he did the first time, scarcely caring about those who are still loyal to Voldemort. Theodore is about personal gain, and personal safety. His comfort and safety comes first, everything else (loyalty, family, friendship) comes second.
Theodore's Personality: He has to be quick-tempered, exceedingly easily jealous of others (Rabastan specifically), and very impulsive. He's cowardly in the sense that he puts himself before others and has no sense of loyalty to anyone, not even his family. I mean, hello, the guy killed his wife (but shh no on knows about that!) If you'd like to add anything to him, feel free! OH, he also has to be almost completely without remorse for his actions.
A bit of history: Nott's history leading up to Hogwarts is up to the player, but the rest should be this:
Throughout his years at Hogwarts Nott spent most of his time alone. He sometimes hung out with Snape and Avery and the Lestranges, and the Blacks, but for the most part he kept to himself. He didn't need others because he only cared about himself. He watched as members of his house began to form relationships, and the day that Cecelia and Rabastan began dating Nott grew very jealous because he had admired Cecelia from afar for quite a long time. He brought up his complaints with Cecelia's older brother, knowing that Avery didn't like Rabastan to begin with.
In his sixth year his revenge on Rabastan was granted when he had an arranged marriage to Cecelia, stealing her away from Rabastan right from within his grasp. He knew Rabastan was endlessly jealous, and Theodore simply thought of it as a taste of his own medicine. Rabastan could now feel how he had felt for the first six years of school - envious. But Rabstan wasn't envious, as he was still seeing Cecelia on the side unbeknownst to Theodore.
At the end of their first term in seventh year they found out that Cecelia was pregnant, and Theodore was filled with pride. Now he would always have what Rabastan so longed for, the love and family of Cecelia Avery. He felt like he was on top of the world, like he had won once and for all. Theo was born in July, and it was the happiest day of Theodore's life. He was so proud to have something to call his own that no one else could touch. But as the years progressed, the child became suspiciously dark haired, and his eyes, too, were dark brown, when Theodore's were blue. It wasn't until Theo was about four until Theodore brought up his theory to Cecelia, who denied it completely, but the resemblance his son bore to one Rabastan Lestrange was uncanny, and it made Theodore sick to his stomach to think of it.
Theodore didn't let the issue die after Cecelia's initial denial, and after three years of prodding, poking, and wondering, Theodore decided he was going to know the truth one way or another. He slipped Veritaserum into his wife's soup, and asked if Theodore was his child or Rabastan's.
"Rory belongs to Rabastan," she replied instantly, and after the words had left her lips her heart sank in her chest and she her eyes flew to seven-year-old Theodore, whose mouth was hanging open.
"So that's why you call him Rory instead of Theo!? Because it reminds you of your precious Rabastan!" he shouted. His wife took out a piece of paper, scribbling words quickly on parchment before it disappeared with a pop. Without another word, Theodore whipped out his wand, pointed it directly at her, and whispered at a dangerously low volume 'Avada Kedavra.' His wife fell to the floor, stiff as a board, andhisRabastan's son ran from the room. Theodore considered not even bothering to run after him, to let him go, let him starve. It was only when he realized that Theo could tell someone about what he'd seen.
From the time of Cecelia's death on Theo and Theodore fought often and hardly talked. There was nothing that Theo wanted to say to the man, despite living under the same roof and supporting the same cause. During the first wizarding war Theo had been young, but as he grew Theodore knew that Theo realized his father wasn't behaving like the rest of the death eaters had. And when the second wizarding war began Theo was disgusted by his father's cowardice.
At the battle of Hogwarts Theodore said nothing Theo and Theo said nothing to him, despite the fact that they had locked eyes only briefly.
