Vivian is a borderline sociopath/psychopath. She hardly feels anything, and is a master manipulator. She lies every day, all the time, to anyone, to get what she wants. She doesn't care what she has to do, and has no conscience or moral guide what so ever. The end always justifies the means, as far as Vivian is concerned. She doesn't feel empathy or compassion. She only cares about herself.
Vivian is beautiful, and knows it. She is 1/4 Veela, and loves it. She uses it to her advantage all the time. She loves to be admired, and her beauty is yet another tool she uses to manipulate those around her.
Vivian is dyslexic, and so finds school very hard. She does terribly in all of her classes, but she just doesn't care. No one knows she is dyslexic, not even the teachers. She could get help, but that would mean admitting she wasn't perfect. Everyone assumes she does badly because she just doesn't care, and can't be bothered to work.

Vivian's mother was half Veela, and very beautiful. Her father was a pure blooded wizard, and her mother was a Veela, who left after Alena was born. Alena always identified herself as a pure blood, despite being technically half breed. She was a Slytherin, and took up with another Pure Blood wizard, a handsome older man. She became pregnant, and gave birth to Vivian when she was 17. Vivian's Father left them. Alena raised Vivian by moving from rich man to rich man, using them for their money. When Vivian was 5 her mother married Marc Woods, a very wealthy and prominent pure blood wizard.
Vivian was just as beautiful as her mother, if not more. Her mother resented her, as she saw how strong the Veela gene was in her daughter, and saw that she had her youth stretching in front of her, while her own was fading away. Her mother stopped paying attention to Vivian, and she was raised by a nanny.
As Vivian got older, her step father started paying her a lot of attention. Her mother saw this, and was furious. She would hit Vivian, telling her she was bad. Her step father started to molest her, and her mother, rather than help her child, hated her even more. A couple years of Vivian's childhood were spent in a cycle of molestations and beatings, until finally her mother decided to take her husband away from her daughter. They went travelling, and let Vivian at home with a nanny and a tutor. Vivian hardly ever saw them for years, for which she was glad. This has had a profound effect on Vivian. She is a borderline sociopath/psycopath (undiagnosed and so undefined), and doesn't feel any empathy. She hardly feels anything, most of the time. She grew up without any friends, but never wanted any.
When Vivian came to Hogwarts she was instantly hated and admired. Girls hated her, and Vivian loved it. She could be very charming when she wanted to be, and would do anything to make things go her own way.
Vivian soon discovered that she couldn't do her school work like the other children. But she couldn't stand anyone knowing she had a weakness, so she simply proclaimed that school work was boring and pointless, and that she didn't care about it. She almost never did her homeworks, and progressed through school by the skin of her teeth.
Vivian has no female friends. The only two people she would actually consider friends are Eliot Jameson and Theodore Nott. She finds them amusing, and enjoys their company.
During the war, Vivian and her family remained neutral. They hoped Voldemort would win, as it would support them as Pure Bloods, but they stayed out of it. It just wasn't in their best interests to get involved.
