( PERSONALITY ) : It’s difficult to depict whether or not Shane even has an ego. He’s a flirt, to the nth degree, flirting with every girl he finds to be even mildly attractive. He doesn't care about the personality of the women he's pursuing either, rather shallow in that he's only concerned about their looks. If they’re attractive then they’re candidates for his nonstop attention. He doesn’t take hints, and is oblivious to social cues. Some would think that he does it on purpose, pretending to be oblivious so that he doesn’t incur the full wrath of others. He comes across as incredibly vain, ruled by his desires rather than whatever excuse for a brain he has in his head. He tends to embarrass himself at what he considers to be his “prime” moments. For example: Finding something witty to say to a woman, and winding up not making any sense, or accidentally contradicting himself somehow. As much as he likes creating drama and being paid attention to, he doesn’t necessarily mean to create as much trouble as he does. He really needs to learn to control his impulsive behaviors. He isn’t very careful, and therein lies the majority of his problems.

He’s not rude, just brutally honest, never realizing when enough is enough. It often seems like he’s trying to one up someone when really... no, wait, that's exactly what he's trying to do. He is unaffected by virtually everything. Insults don’t faze him, and when people get angry at the young man he pulls a mass guilt-trip. Often this involves pulling out an invented sob story to take the heat away from the situation. When isn't he taking the opportunity to make things all about himself anyhow? He’s never truly disheartened by anything anyone says, not unless someone repeatedly points out that they’re upset with him and said someone so happens to be a person he’s very close to. Otherwise, he’s not at all bothered by people's emotional responses to his behavior. He tries to be positive concerning everything, so optimistic that it could easily become an annoyance. Whereas a normal person would realize that things can go wrong, Shane never believes that they will. He encourages people with: ”Life is meant to be a mystery. Don’t stress. Everything will work out.” He says that “everything will work out,” far too much, even when a situation seems wholly impossible.

Shane might not have it in him to bear a realistic view of the world, or it could be that he protects himself with his faux ignorance. He’s a fun guy to just chill with since he’s always got a listening ear, though he’ll state his opinion quite freely. He loves to joke around, and being a pervert is pretty much a given. Not every one tends to be impressed with his performance. No matter, he doesn’t bother to change who he is to suit any one, unless of course his behavior is extremely problematic and he's not being given much of a choice. People learn to live with him and adapt to his unique ways. Surprisingly enough he’s a hard worker, though he loves to shirk his responsibilities as much as the next guy, but he knows that he can’t always do so. Shane feels awkward around kids, never wanting to be put in charge of them for any given reason. He doesn't take criticism from outsiders very well, whether it be on the way he's handling his wing, or even on the way he handles himself. He does his best, and in his mind, that's that.

He finds a way to laugh at everything, even if it’s just really not that funny… He’s quick to forgive, always letting things slide. He really loves magical creatures, especially dragons. He’s always secretly wanted to attempt at taming one. He’d fight to defend any friend of his, even if the cost was his life. He’s impressively loyal and would never tell an untruth to a friend, though he can be found lying to others to get out of a messy situation (likely caused by him). He loves drinking firewhiskey, having quite a good control of himself even when he’s drunk. He doesn’t do relationships, but he sure doesn't mind a good romp in-between the sheets.

( HAIR ) : His hair could best be described as a medium brown with lesser red highlights that are more so noticeable outdoors. His hair is usually rather unkempt, having a frequent messy appearance to it. He doesn't enjoy to have it too short, so it tends to hang down to the base of his neck at the back. Otherwise he has short, shaggy, layers atop his head. His hair has some decent, natural, wave to it.
( EYES ) : His eyes are a vibrant blue, under thicker, dark, eyebrows and short, dark, lashes. His eyes have been described as fairly intense at times, and its not a wonder that they're the first thing that people tend to notice about him.
( FACIAL STRUCTURE ) : The young man has a strong jaw, and doesn't mind leaving some stubble about his face. He never lets a real beard, or any real facial hair for that matter, grow. He keeps his stubble. His lips are thin, and he has an overall clear complexion. He's rather pallid, and doesn't often get much color. When he is exposed to the sun for an extended period of time, he tans nicely.
( BODY STRUCTURE ) : He's best described as lean, though the little time he's spent working out has earned him some muscle built up in his arms. He's not all that tall, standing at a decent 5'10". He doesn't feel as if he's really got anything to brag about appearance-wise.
( ATTIRE ) : He usually wears his robes, though when he's not made to wear them he can often be found in just about anything. He's not too big on fashion, he just wears whatever his parents have gotten for him to wear. His mother doesn't have horrible taste, thank goodness.

( HISTORY ) :
Shane had a more than decent family life growing up. His parents always knew there was something different about him, but they didn’t feel the need to spread it to the rest of the family. They kept Shane’s what they called “powers,” a secret. They had lots of family get-togethers and were very family-oriented, that was, until, Shane got his letter to Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry… The eleven-year-old boy of course had no idea what that was, and couldn’t bring himself to believe that magic really, truly, existed, regardless of the fact that he’d been accidentally practicing it all his life. His parents, however, knew that it must’ve been true, and they wanted their son to be able to be with children of his “own kind.” Deciding to give the school a try, they had their son attend. At first they were shocked by just how many wizards had been in their presence without their knowledge. Then, once having realized that their son wasn’t all that different after all, they became more comfortable with the idea of magic. They went and got him all of his necessaries in Diagon Alley, and it was there that they surprised him with a black cat as a pet to bring along with him to school.

His years at Hogwarts went fairly well, he mostly kept to himself, but the few friends he did make he was comfortable enough to chat with every now and again. He couldn’t help that his curiosity kept on running towards dark magic, especially after he was sorted into Slytherin house and discovered what kind of witches and wizards developed in the house of Slytherin. Trying to ignore the house he had been placed in, and focus on what kind of person he wanted to be, Shane did his best to give his all to his schooling. As he got older, he focused less on less on his studies, however, and more on the girls… It didn’t matter what house they were from, it rarely if ever kept him from hitting on them. He was a show off when it came to practicing magic, and it got him into a fair bit of trouble throughout his years at Hogwarts. Unlike most wizards he didn’t see the fascination with flying around on a broom, he thought it rather ridiculous.

When the return of Voldemort, whom Shane had come to learn of by his peers, was confirmed, Shane didn’t know how to feel. Apparently a boy named Harry Potter, whom everyone ranted and raved about, was the sole survivor of an encounter with the so-called Dark Lord? Shane pretended not to care, not minding that he still involved himself with the muggle world since that world was where his parents belonged. He got teased and made fun of for speaking of muggle things, and even speaking of his muggle parents, which only enraged him. Due to the bullying he’s had to put up with he’s developed a hatred of sorts for pure-bloods.

Once the boy came to realize that sides were being chosen as it got closer and closer to the time of the war, he felt conflicted, what with the loyalty he felt towards his house. Draco Malfoy and many of the others had banded together and seemed to want the Dark Lord to reign. Beginning to worry that he had darkness inside of him as well, and that maybe it was his destiny, he went along with his peers in trying to help the Dark Lord prosper. When anyone asks he claims to be neutral concerning the whole affair, but really he knows what side he was fighting for when the war began… He was fighting for the wrong side. The war passed and the right side won, but still he can’t help but feel as if a ‘darkness’ is living inside of him, paranoid that darkness will rise up and attempt to reign once more since it has many a time before…
