( LIKES ) :
* Alone time: He is not a people person. He prefers to be alone in his thoughts and away from people. He is rather easily annoyed by others.
* The lake: His favorite place to be at Hogwarts. He hates it when others are always in his spot or it's over crowded but when the weathers nice and people are away from the lake he loves to hang out here.
* Hogshead: He loves to get a drink here or there when he can get into Hogsmead. Sure the glasses are not that clean but it's a nice place to get away from everyone.
* Sleep: Who doesn't enjoy sleep? He loves laying in bed and just drifting off into a different world.
* His mom: She occupies his thoughts often. She was an amazing lady. Unfortunately she was killed when he was just five years old.
* Shelter
* Clothing
* Food: The last three are things many take for granted. This is not something he will ever take for granted because he has been an orphan for thirteen years.
* Girls: Haha. Sure he might be rather quiet. But he likes looking at pretty girls just as much as the next guy. Even if he isn't very good with girls... and people in general. And, probably wouldn't let any girl get close to him. He still can admire once in awhile.
( DISLIKES ) :
* Slytherins: He has a distaste for all Slytherins. He is not keen on giving any of them a chance. He stays clear from them as best as he can. Even though he tends to stay clear from everyone he is very quick to judge all Slytherins as evil and believes they should all be held captive in prison.
* Voldomort: Of course. Other then Deatheaters which is another group he hates how can anyone not hate this creature. Not a man. A Creature. A monster.
* His Father: He watched his father kill his mother when he was just five years old. A memory that haunts him.
* Dark Arts: His father was very into the darks arts. And anything his father was into Remington grew to despise.
* Bad Memories/Nightmares: Things he faced when he was younger always comes back to haunt him.
*Looking weak: He fears looking weak. This is a reason he tries to never get close to anyone. He wants people to stay clear of him and fear him to an extent they will not bother him and look for his weakness and use it against him.
( STRENGTHS ) :
* Defense: He excels in Defense Against the Dark Arts. He knows how to defend himself and other's if he actually had other's to defend.
* Being on his Own: He knows how to live on the streets if he ever has to again. He knows how to take care of himself.
* Magic: He's always been good in class. He does not like classes all that much. But he is always looking to better himself in every aspect of magic there is.
( WEAKNESSES ) :
* People: He has a tough time trusting people. He has a tough time communicating with people as well. He became a mute for a few years after his mother's death. Then slowly became a selective mute only speaking when he was around certain people. Of course, he isn't one now. However, he prefers not to speak.
* Girls: What guy doesn't have girls as a weakness? To an extent anyways. He isn't any good with them. Not that it matters. They fall into the 'people' aspect as well.
* Speaking: Some professors have students speak in front of the class and he hates it. He isn't good at public speaking skills.
* His Past/His Mother: Anything regarding what happened thirteen years ago to his mom and mentioning it or talking about it is difficult for him. He prefers not to speak of it and prefers people not to know about it. He has not told a single soul about what happened. Only Professors know and not because of him.
*His Father: He fears the man will come back to kill him. The man was never caught but he likes to assume his father is in hiding. And even though he'd love revenge he stays clear.
( AMORTENTIA) :
* Lavender. His mother always smelled of lavender.
* Fresh Morning Air: He loves that morning crisp scent to the start of a new day as long as it's out by the black lake.
* Home Cooked Meals: He never gets them often so just the smell makes his stomach rumble with delight.
* Baking Cookies: He used to bake cookies with his mum often. And honestly who doesn't love the smell of fresh cookies?
( RIDDIKULUS! ) : His father. Everything he saw his father do made him fear the man. He wants revenge but that does not mean he does not fear the awful man. Maybe one day it will change if he ever doe get the revenge but that's very doubtful.
( EXPECTO PATRONUM! ) : Ah. So long ago. It was the last memory he had with his mum before she died. He was just five years old and him and his mum had just been outside making snow forts and snow angels. Then came inside made some hot chocolate with tiny marshmallows and sat by the fire. They just talked but it is by farh is favorite memory because it's the last one with his mum.
( DEMENTOR'S KISS ) : When he was five years old he remembers still vividly his father coming home, drunk as a bat, shouting nonsense into the night sky. His father and mother were always fighting about his new entrance into the 'deatheaters' and how his mom presumed he was a changed man. His father had been a charming slytherin man and was able to convince the kind-hearted Hufflepuff woman he was a good man. But as soon as they were married things changed and his mum was abused as his dad drank, and did other awful things. This time his father took things too far and not even with a wand was his mom killed, she was killed with his father's bare hands and then finally killed with the deadly killing curse, and then he left her their to die and young Remington had saw it all around the corner of the wall. And Remington being terrified took off into the night until a week later he was found.
( MIRROR OF ERISED ) : To just be happy. When he looks into the mirror all he sees is himself looking back at himself with a huge smile... just happy, really happy. And sometimes a flicker of his mum will appear but Remington is a realist to an extreme to where he knows this desire will never be.
( PERSONALITY ) :
Ahh. The man of mystery. Not fully a man of mystery he just had the personality to where he hardly speaks. It often makes people wonder whats wrong with him and who he is. The life he had growing up turned him into the man he is today. Which is a man that isolates himself from everyone. It is very hard for him to open up to anyone because he has trouble trusting people mainly for the past that haunts him.

At a very young age shortly after his mother was killed he did not speak at all. When he was found by the government who wondered who he was he did not speak. It took him a year till he was finally comfortable to speak just a few words. It was not until he met another witch, an elderly witch where he slowly started to communicate more. To this day he still does not speak all that often. In fact he only talks when he is spoken to.

An observer. This is a huge personality trait of his. Because he often does not speak he often watches the people around him. He watches how other interact which had made him incredibly smart on who people are and what's going on in their lives. He often notices and hears things most people do not hear. He never fully eavesdrops on purpose because after all he does prefer to be alone. But when people are surrounding him he can't really focus on his own inner thoughts.

He does have those stands he stands up for and beliefs he believes in. He is not as outspoken as some people but as for the Battle he was on The Order's side. He fought other's and took a stand fighting for the better good. He was finally glad to know that Voldomort was gone. His father supported that dreaded monster and the only thing more he wished would have happened that day was his father dying as well. However, his father escaped. Which brings up the personality trait of revenge.

He would love to kill his father. He wants revenge for what his father did to his mother. He fears his father in a sense of he knows how much dark magic his father knows and Remington refuses to use that type of magic. However, he would face his fears and face a potential death from his dead for the chance to get this horrible ache in his chest to leave... to have his father feel the pain his mother did.

Another trait is he is very good at being on his own. Growing up he was always fending for himself. At two points in his life he was living on his own, finding shelter and food. He has always been good at living on his own and surviving in this world without the help from others.

To sum Remington up he is a soft-spoken, untrusting, quiet, mysterious and observant person.

( HISTORY ) :
His mother was overjoyed holding her new baby boy in her arms on October 11th of nineteen eighty. She was quick to name her little boy Remington Xavier Redford a family name on her husbands side. She felt it would make her husband proud to name their son after his grandfather. Knowing her husband was not as excited about being a father as she was about being a mother.

Remington's mother was quick to take on the role of an amazing mother. She had the motherly genes engraved into her soul. She would stay up late rocking her newborn son and singing him to sleep. Remington would have had the perfect childhood if it had not been for his father. His father Robert Redford a charming Slytherin that won over his mom when she was eighteen years old. His mother being a soft hearted woman played into the man's fake personality and fell madly in love with Robert. Marrying him only six months later and then having their first child shortly after.

The moment that Robert married Susan he had her hooked and he knew it. That was when the charming man vanished and the true man became known. A man that practiced the dark arts and was a vivid follower in Lord Voldomort. Robert would have loved if his son had been more keen on following in his tradition however this was not the case. For Remington always had a more soft side like his mother. He always wanted to be surrounded in his mum's warm embrace and Remington never showed any signs of enjoying the pleasure his father got when his father would kill small animals in front of him. Remington instead would cry and hide inside his mother's arms. Having his mum scold Robert and then unfortunately his mum scolding his father resulted in her being beat... leaving Remington to cry some more.

At the age of five years old was the night that changed Remington forever. His father had been out with some 'friends' after a meeting with the Dark Lord's followers and had came home horribly drunk. He was awaken by his father's footsteps and his loud booming voice coming through the door. His mother had kept asking Robert to quiet down and not to wake their son. But his father did not want to hear anything Remington's mum had to say. He instead hit her across the face knocking her to the ground. Which is what alerted Remington and made him crawl out of bed peeking around the corner. And his eyes were horrified at the site as his father beat his mum to a bloody pulp. And then finished her off with a killing curse leaving Remington in horror as his father ran off from the scene.

Shortly after Remington scrambled over to his mom as tears streamed down his face. Screaming and begging her to wake up and when she didn't move Remington ran away from his home as well. He did not want to be their when his father came back. Which resulted in him living out on the streets for a week with little to survive and at only the age of five he was lucky he even lived. He had survived on only a few crackers and water and sometimes was lucky enough for people would throw food in his direction or money that helped him survive.

It was not until a woman in her late thirties that found him and then finally got him off the streets and took him straight to an orphanage where many people tried to get him to speak with no prevail. People had tried for ages to figure out where he came from and who he was and put out "child found" notices but nobody claimed him. For the longest time he was just known as the "kid" until Lucy Brown showed up into his life.

The reason Lucy showed up into his life was after he ran away from the Orphanage when he was just eight years old. It took them two days to find them and when they did Albus Dumbledore referenced Lucy Brown to appear at the Orphanage where Remington Redford resided. Dumbledore knew that Remington needed someone of the Wizarding World to guide him and that was where Lucy Brown fit into the picture and she soon began working at the Orphanage for the sake of Remington when he was finally returned to the Orphanage.

It was Lucy who finally got him to say his name. It was Lucy that finally got him to speak. And, it was Lucy who told him she knew about his past. She knew his mother. And she knew he was a Wizard. It was Lucy who grew to be the only person that he trusted and would talk to openingly. And it was Lucy that finally slowly took him out of his 'muteness' and made him slowly start to talk to other's when he was spoken to. But, still to this day it is only Lucy Brown that he freely talks to. He was thankful the day she became a helper inside the Orphanage or Remington would still feel as if he had nobody to turn to and he would still be that little boy that never spoke.

When he was eleven he finally had his Hogwarts Letter of Acceptance sent to him. Lucy and Remington set up a ploy to fool the muggles saying that Remington had been accepted into a fine Boarding School in London and honestly no questions were asked. The other caretakers were never very close to Remington so they felt sending him away would do him good.

It was really mixed emotions for Remington when he made his way to Hogwarts. He was excited to finally go and learn about magic. But at the same time it was where his father went to school and his mother. It was the moment of truth to where he would be sorted into. Hufflepuff or Slytherin? Or the other two houses. He feared that he would be sorted into Slytherin just like his father. And he had grown to hate anything that had an outcome of similarities to the man he despised. Lucy told him their was nothing to fear because he was nothing like his father and he ought to remember that. It still didn't stop the slight fear that he would end up in such a house as that house his dad was in.

However much to his shock when the sorting hat was placed onto his head he was sorted into Gryffindor. It was a house known for bravery and loyalty. Upon writing to Lucy to tell her the news she had been far too excited and said his mother would have been so proud of him. That the house suited young Remington just fine and that he should be awfully proud to have been sorted into such an amazing house.

And throughout the years at Hogwarts it became clear why he would have never belonged in either of his parents houses. His distaste for anything to do with his father separated him from ever being able to be sorted into the Slytherin house. And he could have never fit into his mother's house with the upbringing he had. He was much to into getting revenge upon his father. He also had too much hate boiled inside his gut to ever be as sweet and loving as his mother. And he was a man that stuck to himself but at the end of the day he still knew right from wrong. Evil from the good. So Gryffindor became his right fit because of his bravery in what he faced growing up and because of his ever lasting loyalty to his mother and anyone else that would ever worm their way into his life.
