( LIKES ) :

• Reading ;; Eadric likes to read, and enjoys complex academic texts. He likes to read non-fiction and textbooks, broadening his knowledge. He is undiscriminating when it comes to what he reads. He has a thirst for knowledge which doesn't fit into a niche.

• Transfiguration ;; Eadric's favourite class is Transfiguration. He likes subjects that push him mentally and magically, and Transfiguration is one of the trickiest subjects there is.

• Being outside ;; Eadric, like his twin sister, likes to be outdoors, although he doesn't enjoy it quite as much as Lyra. A lot of his pleasure in being outdoors is in being with his sister while she is happy.

• Music ;; Eadric (also like his sister) can play the piano, although he can't sing. He likes to play, but only in private; he doesn't play for other people.

• Fighting ;; Eadric got into a lot of fights when his sister became a Werewolf, and rumours started circulating. He found that he was a very good fighter; he knew how to take a punch, and hit back with a lot of force. Despite himself, he found that he liked the experience.

• Being alone ;; Eadric likes to be alone most of the time. The only person who he normally spends a lot of time with is his sister. Otherwise he prefers his own company.

( DISLIKES ) :

• Forced sociability ;; Eadric doesn't like being forced to be around people, or other people who force their company on him

• Girls who are threatened by his sister ;; Eadric has found that girls who are interested him are often terribly threatened by his sister, who always comes first with Eadric. He can't stand this, and said girls are out of his life as quickly as they came in

• Closed mindedness ;; Eadric keeps an open mind, and wants to be open to all the knowledge the world has to offer. He reads books about muggles, and books about the Dark Arts. He hates when people are closed minded, or only want to know about one subject, and he can't stand when his teachers try to force their own opinion on him

• Surpeme authority ;; Voldemort ripped his family apart, as his father was a Death Eater, made to follow Voldemort absolutely, without questioning orders. Voldemort's power was absolute. It also lead to his sister being attacked by a Werewolf. Since then Eadric has hated the idea of an all-powerful ruler.

• Protectiveness ;; Eadric is very protective of his family, especially his sister. His caring towards his sister is one of his best qualities.

• Stoic ;; Eadric is very stoic, he usually seems unmovable. He doesn't get over emotional, and can keep control of himself in any situation

• Problem solving ;; Eadric is good at solving problems, and can keep his head and try to come up with a solution in a crisis

• Temper ;; Eadric has a cold but powerful temper, which rears up when someone threatens him, his beliefs, or, of course, his sister.

• Coldness ;; Eadric, to those who don't know him, can appear cold and distant, and very unapproachable.

• Fighting ;; Eadric likes to fight, which can often get him into trouble. He doesn't go looking for fights, but he rarely walks away.

• His sister ;; Eadric has a huge soft spot for his twin sister. He would do anything for her, and she always gets her way with him.

( PERSONALITY ) :

Eadric likes to be alone. Even as a child, he was very serious and solitary. He likes to spend long periods of time alone, and finds other peoples company tiresome. The only person who he likes to spend time with is is twin sister, Lyra.

Eadric likes to read alot, and is often found in the library. However, he isn't considered a swot or a 'teachers pet'. He often challenges his teachers, especially when they try and force their opinions on their students, or keep information back. He thinks knowledge should never be closed off.

Eadric often seems very cold and distant. He is very stoic, and doesn't get emotional. He stays clam, and doesn't have much interest in other people. He is the epitomy of tall, dark and mysterious. Only those who really know him know that he has a good, warm heart. He can be very stand-offish, and unapproachable. He spends a lot of time alone, and projects an aura of wanting to be left that way.

Eadric is feircely protective of his sister. He would do anything to keep her safe, and blames himself for the fact that Lyra was attacked by the Werewolf. If he had been there, he thinks he could have protected her, even though he was only thirteen at the time.

( HISTORY ) :

Eadric and his sister were born on the 13th of December 1981. Her was born five minutes before her, technically making him older; he always refers to Lyra as his 'little sister'. Their father, James Avery, had been at school and friends with Severus Snape. When they left Hogwarts the two of them, along with Mulciber, became Death Eaters. Avery met his wife, Alvah, another Pureblood and former Slytherin, at Hogwarts (although she was two years behind him). She supported him as he joined Lord Voldemort, as they both came from old wizarding families who believed in he pure blood of wizards, and disliked muggleborns.
However, after only a few years in the Dark Lord's service, James Avery was having doubts about having gotten in so deep, and was afraid of what he was being asked to do. With his wife pregnant, Avery was hoping for a way to escape the duties of being a Death Eater. And then what had before seemed impossible happened; Voldemort vanished, supposedly dead, and Avery was free. He told the ministry that he had been acting under the imperious curse, and escaped Azkaban. A little over a month later his children were born.

Eadric and his family lived a happy life for thirteen years. Their family weren't extremely wealthy, but they were comfortably middle class, and had everything they needed. Although Eadric and his sister were not sorted into Slytherin, as was the family tradition, their parents didn't mind so much; after so many years following Voldemort's extreme agenda, they were happy to be free and maybe even slightly more accepting.

Then, on June 24th, 1995, when Eadric and his sister were thirteen, her father felt the dark mark burn again. It had been growing clearer for months, and Avery had been struggling with what to do. When the time finally came for him to make the choice, he apparrated to the graveyard where Voldemort was reborn. It would have been almost impossible for him, his two children and his wife to go into hiding, and if he didn't go to Lord Voldemort he would pay for it. He grovelled at Voldemort's feet, admitting that he hadn't searched for him, that he had believed him to be dead. Voldemort forgave him, but saw in his mind that he was not loyal. Avery watched as Voldemort killed a student at his children's school, and tried to kill Harry Potter.

During the summer of 1995, before Eadric's third year at Hogwarts, he was aware that the Dark Lord had returned, and that their father was a Death Eater. His sister knew what was happening, but not the extent to which their father was involved. Eadric kept the information from his sister, wanting to protect her innocence, as she loved her father, and he didn't think she would understand.

Lord Voldemort could see into James Avery's mind, and knew that he wasn't entirely loyal, and that he would leave the Death Eaters if that were possible. Voldemort became obsessed with hearing a prophecy in the Department of Mysteries, and Avery told him that it would be possible to retrieve it by putting Unspeakable Boderick Bode under the imperius curse. However the plan failed, and Bode went mad trying to take the prophecy. Avery was punished with the crutiatus curse, but Lord Voldemort decided that wasn't enough. He needed to terrify Avery into following him, so he could be assured of his loyalty, and punish him for his costly mistake, for now members of the Order were sure that Voldemort sought the prophecy.

In August 1995, the unthinkable happened; Eadric was sitting up at the house, reading, while his sister Lyra was out in the woods behind the house. It was starting to get dark, but Eadric didn't worry. She often went out in the woods, and stayed out longer then she was strictly supposed to. But then he heard her scream. He jumped up, and ran outside, and was the first who reached Lyra. The image of her lying on the ground, bleeding and terrified, haunts him to this day. He picked her up, and brought her back up to the house. His parents brought her to St. Mungos, but there was no healing a Werewolf bite. Eadric never forgave his father, as it was because of him that Lyra was bitten. Greyback was only sent after Lyra as a punishment for their father, and to assure his loyalty.

He returned to Hogwarts in September, without his sister. It was the first time in his life that they had ever been apart. He hated those few months at Hogwarts. He was worried about his sister, and was angry and brooding the whole time. When Lyra finally returned to Hogwarts he was relieved, but she wasn't quite her old self. Measures were put in place to handle her Lycanthropy, and although it was kept a secret, rumours got out. Eadric feircely defended his sister, and got into a lot of fights with other boys because of it (which lead to a lot of detentions). He lost a few friends because of what happened to his sister, although no one in the school knew for sure that she was a Werewolf.
In the final battle at Hogwarts their father was killed. Eadric didn't feel sorry. He never forgave his father for what he had done, and felt that now both his father and Lord Voldemort were gone their family- and especially Lyra- could be free.

Eadric has returned with his sister to repeat their fifth year.
