Characters

• Once an application is started you have two weeks to complete it. After that time all uncompleted apps will be moved to the archives, and your account will be deleted. If you want to take the app back up again you can make a new account and continue the app.
  
• Any accounts that haven't made an application within one week of being made will be deleted
  
• Try to have a signature and avatar for your character soon after being accepted. Avatars can be up to 150x200, and signatures cannot exceed 500px in width. Any images that stretch the board will be removed [HINT: if you put an image in a post and you usually use the 'blockquote' tags, make sure the image is outside of the tags. A image of width 500px in a block quote will stretch the board]
  
• Plots with serious issues such as death or pregnancy should be cleared with a site admin or moderator first.
  
• No character can be perfect (ie a Mary-Sue). Please check our additional information section for more information on 'Mary-Sue's, and how to avoid them.
  
• Information on special abilities can also be found in the additional information section. There is a limit on how many characters with special abilities we will accept.
  
• On After The War the ages of characters in each year are different (due to our plot). Students have returned to Hogwarts to repeat the last year they would have been in, therefore the ages for corresponding years (at the start of the year) are as follows ;;

IC

• Remember to claim your characters play by in the face claim. If you don't claim it someone else can have it.
  
• Names should all be upper case, and include your characters first middle and last name, eg : HARRY JAMES POTTER
  
• No role-playing until after your character is accepted, however you can post in the OOC sections
  
• This is a literate site. We have a post minimum of 200 words, although we would expect the average post to be over 200 words. Absolutely no chat speak. You should use as close to perfect grammar and spelling as possible (of course we all make typos sometimes, or spell a word wrong, that's not a problem)
  
• All posts in third person
  
• No god modding (for details on god modding see our additional information section)
  
• Alohamora opens everything... even your app.
  
• No mature content allowed. In instances when mature content occurs, 'fade to black' comes into play. Nothing explicit.
  
• Anything OOC in an IC post should be added at the end
  
• Anyone with a major canon character is expected to be active, otherwise the canon will be taken
  

OOC

• Abuse of other members will not be tolerated, and will lead to banning
  
• No dramatics; no fighting nothing.
  
• If a character doesn't like your character, it does not mean that the person who plays that character doesn't like you!
  
• Any absences should be noted in the OOC board
