( DEMENTOR'S KISS ) : Being kidnapped during the War and being helpless. After she was taken, she wasn’t able to warn her friends or family about the dangers that lay ahead of them...making her feel helpless and insignificant. Although, even during this dark time, Luna never gave up hope.
( MIRROR OF ERISED ) : When Luna looks in the mirror, she sees her mother still alive, her father standing next to her, and a little sister that she never had. Because she lost her mother when she was young, Luna has always felt like something has been missing from her life. Something that she has been trying to fill with nonsensical whimsy since she discovered it.
( PERSONALITY ) : Luna Lovegood is first and foremost a little off her rocker, but that’s what makes her so wonderful. She has quirks and oddities that cause her to be the center of ridicule around Hogwarts. She lives most of her life in a whimsical dream world where she has no cares in the world and is rarely aware of the world around her. She is often oblivious to the things that are going on around her during her day. She would do anything for the people that she loves - her father and her friends.

Although Luna appears to be self-confident and strong on the outside, she is affected by those around her who call her crazy. She often feels a twinge of sadness when she thinks how those people have never given her a chance to get to know the real her. She doesn’t fully understand why the world is so cruel, which makes her more than a bit naive. After witnessing the death of her Mother all those years ago, Luna has quietly come to terms with life and death and the delicate balance that they hold in the world. She accepts life for the way that it is (death included) and chooses to live her own to the fullest and the way that she wants to, which is manifested in her quirky style and uniqueness.

Luna believes in the good in people and she always has. Even after the war that raged all over the Wizarding World, she hasn’t been able to stop believing that humans and wizards are inherently good and kind-hearted. She has hope for a gentler world, one where peace and harmony rain supreme and - with the new war bringing an era of peace to the community around her - she hopes that she will see her dream become a reality. No matter what happens in her day, she will gift anyone who is kind to her with a smile - now, whether it is sane looking or not is besides the point.

But most importantly about Luna Lovegood: She will always retain her curiosity and hope, no matter what the world throws at her.

( HAIR ) : Wispy white-blonde hair that falls around her face and all the way to her mid-back. Luna’s hair is rarely tamed and often resembles that of a Lion’s mane. She loves her hair though, as it is the most unique part of her appearance.
( EYES ) : Silvery, bright-blue, dreamy eyes are the first thing that people are drawn to Luna by. Her eyes are rather large and draw a person’s gaze, no matter if they want to look or not.

( HISTORY ) : Luna was born in a small village mostly inhabited with older Witches and Wizards so she learned how to get along with out many companions at a young age. Her mother who loved to experiment with new spells, enchantments, and potions became a great point of interest in her life at a very young age and looked at her as a friend rather then just a mother. When her mother died, rather then be devastated like much of her family thought she would be, Luna took it in stride, her mum would not want her to dwell and be upset about her death.

Her mothers death bonded Luna and her father closer then they had been before, her father always gone on some expedition or working on his magazine The Quibbler. Luna’s father started including her more and more in his work and even let her read the articles in the magazine before they were published just to get her opinion on things.

When she was accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and put in the Ravenclaw house her father was so proud. Her housemates on the other hand seemed to find her rather odd even gave her the nickname “Loony”. Though ostracized for her views on things Luna still got along not letting it get her down.

During the Battle of Hogwarts, Luna did her best to help in any way possible, although, she was at first hesitant to draw her wand against those who had practically destroyed her life as she knew it. Since the Battle being won, she's been a little offish...perhaps even more so since before. She's drawn into a shell of hers and has a hard time breaking out of it and being as confident as she once was. However, when the real Luna does come out to play, she's as airy and buoyant as ever. She seeks out her friends as much as possible because she feels that they anchor her to her personality and that is something that she never wants to lose. No matter what the world throws at her.

This is where our story begins...The rebuilding of a Wizarding World and the rebuilding of Luna Lovegood's life.
