It felt like all sense had left him as Lyra wrapped her arms around him. Her movements were a bit tentative but Liam didn't give them a second thought as his hands wrapped around her, pulling her even closer to him. For someone who supposedly had never kissed someone before it would have been a lie to say she was bad at it because Merlin no she was not. Liam pulled away for only a second as he brought his hand to the back of her head, his fingers getting tangled in her hair.
"Dieu que tu es belle," he muttered, not even registering that what he'd said was in French before he pressed his lips against hers once more and he reacted like his body told him to. He moved from her lips down to her neck, kissing it up and down gently before going back and kissing her lips once more. His tongue darted between them and parted her lips as his tongue massaged hers gently. It was soft and gentle. He didn’t want to overwhelm her, but he wanted her.
And it was only then that it registered just how much of himself he was throwing at her all at once, and just how carried away he seemed to be getting. He pulled away for a moment, slightly shocked as he looked at her. A smile spread across his face, his heart was hammering within his chest and his entire body felt like it was partially on fire. He breathed slightly more heavy, not having allowed himself enough time to breathe properly while they were kissing. He looked at the ground in thought for a moment before he looked up at her once more.
”Sorry," he grinned, "But...for someone who’s never kissed someone before… Wow,” he said with a small grin before he leaned over and placed a small kiss on her cheek with a small laugh. He was beaming, and he couldn’t get enough of her if he wanted to.

Liam reacted almost instantly to Lyra wrapping her arms around him, and she felt herself being pulled closer to him. She felt her heart lurch in her chest, and tightened her grip on him, kissing him just as desperately as he was kissing her.
He pulled away, only for a moment, and muttered something Lyra didn't understand. It must have been in French... she didn't know, and she couldn't find space in her mind to worry about it. Her head was filled up with him, the way he tasted, the way he smelled, the way he pulled her towards him, and the amazing, incomparable way he made her feel. Liam's lips were against hers once again, and then she felt them vanish, only to feel them a moment later on her neck. Every kiss sent shivers through her whole body, and every place he kissed felt like it was on fire. This was like the complete opposite of turning into a Werewolf, she thought to herself.
And then he was kissing her again, and this time it was different, his tongue in her mouth. Lyra didn't know what to do, but her body, it seemed, did, and she followed it without a second thought.
After a moment or two of that Liam pulled away, and a part of Lyra's mind, clearly driven temporarily insane, didn't want him to. It wanted him to keep kissing her, to carry on, and... and what, exactly? She didn't know what she wanted. Everything was happening so fast, considering less then an hour ago she'd never even been kissed. Everything she was feeling was overwhelming, clouding her judgement.
She shook her head as he apologised again, breathing slightly harder then usual, left out of breath from their kiss. "Don't apologise..." she said. No one should ever have to apologise for a kiss like that. And she didn't want him thinking that she was some delicate little girl, who might break if he held her too tightly, or pushed her too far.
Lyra smiled as Liam expressed his satisfaction with her kissing skills. "Well, that's a load off," she replied, still grinning. At least now she knew she wasn't totally horrible at it. Her eyes met his, and the smile faded from her face as new-found feelings rose up inside her again, leaving her breathless. In that moment she was sure he knew what was on her mind, and she looked away, blushing slightly, removing a hand from around his neck and running it through her hair. This was all going very fast... and Eadric would kill Liam if he could see the two of them now.

Lyra told him not to apologize, and he shrugged slightly, smirking.
"I just don't want to overwhelm you with all of... this," he said, gesturing to himself, but he laughed aloud afterward. Even if he wanted to think that about himself he knew he couldn't and wouldn't. He wasn't anything massively impressive, but whatever he was, he knew now in both his mind and his heart that he belonged to Lyra whether she wanted him or not. He wasn't an egotistical guy. Sure, he knew he was handsome, but he wasn't anything to write home about. Not in his opinion, at least. Still, the way Lyra smiled at him as she said that was a load off... it filled him with a feeling that he'd never felt with anyone, not even his ex-girlfriend. He smiled at her, laughing the slightest bit before he watched as her facial expression changed.
A mischievous grin spread across his face as he watched her blush. He reached up, but this time when he pulled her toward him he placed a gentle kiss on her cheek before he maneuvered her to rest against him. He wasn't sure how much more they should push themselves, so he'd settle just for having her as close as he could get her, even if they weren't kissing, no matter how badly he wanted to.
"It's kind of overwhelming how you have the ability to be completely beautiful, and alluring, and adorable all at the same time," he said with a grin.

Lyra allowed Liam to pull her to him, and rested against him, smiling slightly, still blushing. She couldn't help it. He made her feel so many things all at once, it was impossible to keep track of them all.
He made a comment about her being alluring... her! Alluring! She laughed slightly. She had most definitely never heard that one before. She was used to being treated like a little girl a lot of the time, and a force to be reckoned with the rest. Never as though she were 'alluring'.
"That's not one I've heard before," she said, laughing, and looking up at him for the first time since she had blushed.
She let her hand trail gently across his chest, and could feel his heartbeat as her fingers drifted over his heart. Her eyes looked into his, and she wanted to kiss him again... and this time she did. This time it was her that closed the gap between them. She pressed her lips against his, the kiss starting off gentle, but deepening quickly. She lay her hand flat against his chest, and pressed herself against him...
"I'm sorry," she said, pulling away and looking away from him, blushing yet again. She was getting carried away, and she didn't know what she was trying to do exactly, but it was too much. She was embarrassed to appear so... so out of control. And for once she couldn't even blame it on being a Werewolf.
Lyra thought of what Eadric could say if he saw her throwing herself into all of this, being so un-cautious. She didn't think he'd have anything good to say about it, that was for sure. Although he'd probably spend less time talking to her and more time killing Liam.

Lyra laughed at his compliments, and while he didn’t think it was very right of her to laugh, he knew she just wasn’t used to it, so instead he simply grinned at her, as she said that wasn’t one she’d heard before. He was once again the slightest bit proud that he was the first one to tell her all of these things, as if somehow that made it more significant than it already was. He certainly felt significant when it came to Lyra, though how significant he wasn’t sure. He’d been the first guy to kiss her, call her alluring and beautiful and cute, to just generally befriend her. He felt as if that were significant steps, like he was a significant, good person in her life. But there was always that doubt in the back of his mind. What if she didn’t think so? What if Eadric persuaded her not to think so? He doubted that would happen, really, but there was still the slightest bit of worry there. He refused to ever really acknowledge it though. Why would he when he was having such a good time?
He grinned as she looked up at him, and as she allowed her hands to trail across his chest he felt his grin falter slightly into only a smirk. His heart began to beat faster and faster. The simplest touch from her had a way of sending shivers right through him, and quickly enough the shivers were replaced with a heat unlike any other as she closed the gap between them. So she wanted him, too, at least to a certain degree. He was filled with a giddiness and a desperation as the kiss started off simple and gentle, but deepened quickly into something much more passionate as she pressed herself against him, and then as soon as he went to wrap his arms around her and keep her right where she was… she pulled away and began apologizing. He tilted his head at her, grinning, before shaking his head no several times.
”Don’t’ be. Please… by all means,” he said with a grin. He hadn’t wanted the kiss to stop, but he mentally scolded himself. He didn’t want to push her. He didn’t want to overwhelm her. She was new to all of this. New to friendship, new to love, new to anything physical. He couldn’t overwhelm her no matter how mad she might drive him with desire. He looked at her, the slightest bit more serious, but still not allowing the grin to fall completely from his face.
”If you want to… you should, and you can, any time you want,” he said with a smile. He knew where he wanted this to go, he knew where it would go in most cases, with most boys and most girls. But neither of them were most boys or most girls. Lyra was different, very different, and to a degree so was he. No, he wasn’t a werewolf, but he had enough self-control and common sense to know when to push boundaries and when to stay quiet. It was a personality trait that most boys… men seemed to lack in general, but he knew that this was one of those times when boundaries were important. No matter how badly he may have wanted to jump right over or charge through the boundaries, he wouldn’t allow himself to until he knew Lyra was okay with it. He knew she wasn’t… fragile, or meek, or made of glass, too. He knew that she could handle being tossed around, for lack of a better term, but he still didn’t want to move too fast or harm her in anyway. He was pretty sure Eadric already hated him, and he wasn’t really in the mood to give him another reason to. He’d treat Lyra like the beautiful, wonderful person she was, and the physical stuff would just come to them, in time. And… hopefully everything with Eadric would just blow over like it was all some kind of bad dream or something. But no, no. Even Liam knew that was too much wishful thinking on his part.

Liam's smile was infectious, and Lyra couldn't help but smile back, even through her embarrassment. She took a breath, to try and steady herself, running a hand through her hair. The night air was cool, and that helped to clear the fog in her head... well, to some extent, anyway.
It had gotten pretty dark now, and the two of them were the only ones left out. If they didn't head inside soon they would be in trouble. Eadric, of course, would worry, but once Lyra showed up she could talk him down, and he'd be fine. She didn't care about getting in trouble. She cared about Eadric, of course, but he would be fine once she spoke to him. He'd get over it. Lyra wondered if Liam wanted to go back inside. She didn't think he'd mind getting in trouble either, not really, but maybe his brothers and sisters would be wondering where he was.
But if Liam wanted to go back to the castle he was free to do so, and since he hadn't said anything Lyra thought it was safe to assume he wanted to stay.
Liam's face became slightly more serious, although Lyra was glad tht the smile didn't leave it completely.
”If you want to… you should, and you can, any time you want,”
Lyra chewed on her bottom lip. "I do want to," she said. That was the problem. "I just don't want to get... carried away." She blushed again, although now it was mercifully dark enough that Liam might not see it. She had never talked about this sort of stuff before. When she became a Werewolf everything else had just sort of gone on the back burner, and she hadn't had any friends. Merlin forbid she ever try to talk to Eadric about any of it... he'd probably have an aneurysm.

Lyra seemed to bite her bottom lip for a moment, which caused a momentary thought of worry to creep through his head, but at her next words he was smirking again, and nodding. So she wanted to, but she wasn’t quite ready for anything more. It was understandable, and while it was understandable, it was still partially disappointing. He was a seventeen year old boy after all. Hormones were racing through him like it was a marathon, but he knew enough not to disagree with her. He understood why she felt the way he did, but the smirk never left his face.
”Getting carried away isn’t so terrible,” he said with a grin, bringing a hand to her cheek, stroking it once with his thumb before continuing. She wasn’t looking at him, and he wouldn’t make her if she didn’t want to, but he wanted the comfort to be there. So he continued. ”But I understand. And I never want to push you, either. But I’m telling you, if you want to, you can. And if you don’t want to, don’t.” It was simple and logical, really. She was free to do what she wanted at her own pace. He looked around them, realizing how dark it had become. The moon and stars were the only things lighting around them now, but the moon was scarcely there, and for that he was thankful. He was thankful that she didn’t have to worry about the moon for another few weeks.
He looked back up to the castle, and wondered if maybe they should be going inside. He wasn’t sure what time it was exactly, but if it was dark they were probably supposed to go inside soon. He didn’t care if they got in trouble, and he was pretty sure Lyra probably didn’t either, but there was someone who would care…
”Think we should get going inside? Wouldn’t want to get you another detention,” he said with a smirk.

Lyra laughed as Liam said that getting carried away wasn't so terrible. "Well that's the problem, isn't it?" she said, nudging him slightly. "I don't think it would be terrible... but... well I don't want to... rush into things." She wasn't sure how to explain herself. It was confusing, wanting something and at the same time not wanting it. Or at least, knowing it wasn't a very good idea.
"I mean, I have no..." she blushed, and then laughed again and her own shyness, "I have no experience, with this sort of thing," she finished, still laughing slightly, making a gesture as though to encapsulate 'this sort of thing'.
Again she found herself wondering how much 'experience' Liam had. After all, he was a year older, and didn't have the social handicap of being a Werewolf. He might not want to wait around forever for her... "Have you... I mean... no," she shook her head, smiling nervously, "never mind." It was quite a personal question, and although she thought they were probably past the point of being shy about each others personal lives, she wasn't sure if that was just a bit too far.
Liam mentioned that they should probably go inside, and Lyra looked up at the darkened sky. "We probably should," she said, regretfully. "I don't think it would get Eadric to warm to you much, if I got a detention every time I hung out with you." She smiled to show she was joking. They probably should head in soon, but Lyra didn't move. Five more minutes wouldn't kill them, surely?

Liam smirked as Lyra ribbed him, and he couldn’t help but let out a laugh. She had a point. He understood why she wouldn’t want to rush into things, and he would never want to push her into something she might regret. But she seemed to want things to move just as much as he did, and yet she was held back by… by what? By fear? By nerves? What made someone not want to move forward with things other than those two. Liam treated her fairly… Could it all really be because of fear of regret? Perhaps. It made sense. The last thing Liam would ever want to be was one of Lyra’s regrets. He never wanted to be anyone’s regret. Ever. When she began speaking of her lack of experience with everything he let out another laugh.
”Oh right, all of this,” he said moving his own hand to encompass it all, but he laughed once more. He didn’t want to laugh at her. And he wasn’t really laughing at her, either. It was completely with her. She thought it was just as funny as he did, albeit she might have been a bit more self-conscious about it than he was. She didn’t seem very upset about the whole thing, though. ”That’s okay, you know, that you don’t. We can go at whatever pace you want.” He knew she hadn’t apologized for her lack of experience, and he hadn’t meant for it to seem like that’s what he want. He just wanted to assure that he was okay with whatever she wanted to do.
And then another question her mouth and Liam grinned wolfishly at her before letting out a laugh. He looked down at the ground shortly before she began apologizing. He looked back up at her and shook his hand at her as if to wave away her apologies. She didn’t need to apologize for anything.
”Yes,” he replied simply, knowing what she was getting at. It was a short and simple answer. He’d done all there was to do, and if she wanted to know he’d not lie to her.
Lyra looked at the sky around them and agreed that they probably should go inside, but neither of them could find it in themselves to move. Liam laughed at Lyra’s comment about Eadric and detentions. ”At least he’d know I was consistent?” he laughed.

Lyra was grateful that Liam was being so great about the whole thing. He said that he wouldn't push her, and that they could go at her pace, and she believed him. Her reluctance to jump into anything was nothing to do with him. It was just... well, it was rather fast, wasn't it? To go from a first kiss to... well, to 'experienced', in the space of one evening.
She knew that plenty of boys wouldn't have been so patient. But, then again, it was unlikely that a boy like that would have taken the time to get to know the Werewolf. At least that was one good thing about being a social outcast. It kept the creeps away, just as much as everyone else.
Liam answered her question with a simple 'yes', and that pretty much told Lyra everything she needed to know. She didn't want to press him, because she didn't really want to know the details. "Well, you probably know what you're doing, then..." she said. She had no idea. That as probably a contributing factor to why she didn't want to rush into anything. She would have no idea what to do once she 'rushed in'. Although she didn't see how that would change, given time.
At least he'd be consistent... Lyra laughed at that, thinking yes, that would be something, at least. Maybe she could sell Eadric on 'consistent'. He'd know that Liam was predictable at least, less of an unknown quantity... of course they both knew that wasn't really the case. Lyra smiled as she thought of that conversation, trying to persuade Eadric that it was a good thing she had gotten another detention. She knew her brother well enough to know that she wasn't going to be able to reason with him, or persuade him. If he was ever going to like Liam, or at least accept him, he was going to have to come to it on his own terms.
Lyra sighed, not really wanting to go in, but knowing they really should. "Do you want to go, then?" she asked Liam. If he wanted to, then she'd head back into the castle, where they'd have to go to their separate common rooms.

Lyra said he probably knew what he was doing and Liam couldn’t help but let out a small laugh, shrugging lightly. ”I mean I’d like to think so,” he said with a grin. So Lyra didn’t have the kind of experience he did, not that he’d had a lot, what did that matter? Was she nervous? Surely she had to be, but putting off the stuff for a little probably wouldn’t make her any less nervous, would it? Who knew, he didn’t. He didn’t care much, either. I mean, yes, he cared, he was a teenage boy, of course he cared. There was some fundamental part of him that wanted her, needed her, refused to let his body think of anything else for a few moments earlier, but he was self-aware enough to control that part of him. So if she wasn’t ready, then that was fine. She would be eventually, right? Right. Besides, it was a pretty huge jump. ‘Oh you’ve never kissed someone? Here let’s fix that by doing everything!’ It was a little ridiculous to think about, and it made Liam chuckle the slightest bit to think of it. He’d kissed her. The doors were open now, and how far they went through them was entirely up to Lyra.
”We’ve got plenty of time to explore the other stuff,” he said with a grin, and he meant it. He wasn’t going anywhere, not if Lyra would let him stay, which she didn’t seem to object to. He planned to spend as much time with her as he could, even if they had to steal moments like this over and over again. They would always be worth it. She would always be worth it. To see that smile on her face and hear her laugh, feel her in his arms. That would always be worth it no matter how much Eadric might be against them. He didn’t even mind, Eadric, really. He was always up for a good challenge, and he thought that, once this whole thing blew over and he grew to accept what was happening (because it was happening whether he liked it or not) the pair of them could probably be good friends. Or, at least that’s what he hoped for.
She questioned whether he wanted to go inside, and he instinctively shook his head. ”Well of course I don’t want to. Probably no more than you do,” he said with a grin before he wrapped his arms around her and squeezing her. ”I’d stay out here all night with you if we could. But…” his eyes were drawn back to the castle. Professors were walking around, probably looking for excuses to give out detentions, and Eadric was probably in the castle worried sick about Lyra. ”We probably should.” He didn’t want to be responsible for Lyra getting another detention at all, but he didn’t want to leave her, either.

Liam said that they had plenty of time to explore that other stuff, and Lyra smiled, liking the sound of that. And he was right, they had lots of time. They didn't need to rush into anything. They could take their time, and enjoy it. Right now everything was new and exciting; there was no need to rush past that part.
Of course, even as inexperienced as Lyra was, she knew how teenage boys could be, and she hadn't missed the slight disappointment in Liam's voice. But that couldn't be helped, and besides, he'd get over it. Lyra hoped it would be worth the wait.
He squeezed her as he said he didn't really want to head inside, and Lyra smiled, kissing his cheek. She didn't want to either, but she followed his gaze back towards the castle. They would lock up soon. "You're right," she said, "we should." She sighed, not terribly happy about admitting it. "We don't want to get locked out, they already probably won't be too happy with us. And if I'm not back by the time the doors are locked, Eadric will have a heart attack..."
That really would be cruel of her. At first Eadric would have been worried, but more annoyed. The longer she stayed away, and as it got dark, the more worried he would have become. And if she wasn't back by the time the doors were locked he would assume the worst. She didn't want to put him through that, so she stood up, preparing to head back to the castle. "Coming?" she asked Liam, smiling.

Lyra agreed that they should probably get inside. She didn’t want to get locked out or give Eadric a heart attack. He could imagine Eadric pacing around the Ravenclaw common room like slight mad man. It was an amusing thought, but Liam refused to smile as he Lyra asked if he was coming. He sat there for a minute, thinking back on the evenings events, and he couldn’t help but smile as he looked back at Lyra. He nodded, rising and moving to stand next to her.
He wrapped an arm around her shoulder and began leading her toward the castle, though it wasn’t at a very fast pace. He wanted to savor as much time with her as possible, but there was still a grin on his face when they reached the castle doors. He tugged on it gently, just to make sure it was open, before turning to Lyra with a smile. He looked down at her before bringing both of his hands up to the back of her head and kissing her. He pulled away after a few seconds, grinning.
”Good luck facing Eadric,” he said with a laugh before tugging open the door and holding it for her so they could go inside and subsequently their separate ways.
