She is lively and vivacious, but can at some times be shy (like she was around Harry in the first years of her friendship) but this happens less and less as she grows into a confident young woman. Ginny rarely gets weepy or cries. Growing up with a lot of older brothers toughened her up.
Ginny is popular at Hogwarts (her brothers agreed that she was too popular for her own good). Ginny is funny and has a good sense of humour. She's good at mimicking peoples mannerisms, which amuses her friends. She is a good liar and has a good poker face.

Ginny is the 7th child and only daughter of Arthur and Molly Weasley. Growing up with 6 older brothers toughened Ginny up, and even though they teased her she soon learned to give as good as she got. At the age of 6 Ginny started breaking into the broom closet at her home and taking out each of her brothers brooms in turn to fly with. This started a life long love of Quidditch, which she was superb at. When her brother Ron started Hogwarts Ginny met Harry Potter. She had a huge crush on him from the start, which made her very shy around him. In her first year Ginny was the victim of Tom Riddles Horcrux, which took her down into the Chamber of Secrets, and nearly claimed her life. Harry ended up saving her.
Over time Ginny became much more confident. She started to be more herself around Harry, which was when he started to notice her. Harry and Ginny started dating in her 5th year, but they had to end it when Harry learned he had to be the one to kill Voldemort. When Harry left in his 7th year Ginny through herself into the DA, which the few members who were left had kept going. They raised hell in Hogwarts, which was now being run by Death Eaters. Ginny fought in the final battle along side her friends and family.
After the battle was won, Ginny went back to the Burrow with the rest of her family, to grieve the loss of her brother Fred. Despite all this, she is looking forward to going back to Hogwarts and starting a normal and happy life with Harry.

(from another site)
Sive walked through the practically deserted corridors, towards an old classroom she knew would be empty. It was lunch time, and the sunny weather meant that most of the students had flocked outside, grabbing some food to take with them. Sive didn't feel like joining them. She had grabbed a sandwich from the Great Hall, and had already finished it while she'd been walking.
She hitched her bag more firmly on her shoulder, and let down her long dark hair from its ponytail, shaking it loose. Finally reaching the empty classroom, Sive pushed open the door and walked in. She dropped her bag on the nearest table, and reached in for her wand and her transfiguration book.
Earlier that morning, while eating breakfast, Sive had received something that put her in a bad mood for the rest of the day; a letter from her family. Neither her parents nor her sister wrote to her regularly, and when they did it was clearly out of obligation rather then out of an interest to talk to her. Her family were muggles, and they took no interest in her life at Hogwarts. She had always had a strained relationship with her mother, and little contact with her father. The attention was lavished on her little sister, Kate, but after Sive was accepted into Hogwarts even Kate became distant. It seemed to Sive that there was a great big line with herself on one side, and her mother and sister on the other. Her father pretty much stayed out of everything. So when her family did write, it was out of obligation to their eldest daughter. The letters were packed with small talk and trivialities, the awkwardness almost jumping off the page. And Sive wrote back in much the same way, and that was that for about a month.
These letters always served to ruin Sive's day. When she was feeling bad she worked, to take her mind off it. They had been doing conjuring spells in Transfiguration, and they were horribly tricky. Conjuring something out of nothing was a very hard concept to wrap the mind around. So far Sive had mastered the basics, but her conjured items lacked longevity. Some things (such as food) couldn't be conjured, due either to Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration or restrictions put in place by the ministry. Sive was practising by conjuring flowers.
She walked over to the windowsill and sat down, enjoying the sunlight. Her first few attempts faded after a minute or so, but by try number five the lilies she was conjuring seemed to be sticking around. Before long the window sill and the classroom floor were littered with white, fragrant lilies. A few had faded, but most were sticking. She wasn't worried about clearing up; either she'd use a vanishing spell (easy, OWL level stuff) or try her hand at conjuring a vase and some water (which was possible to conjure out of nothing, unlike food).
