( DEMENTOR'S KISS ) : The memory of her father's death.
( MIRROR OF ERISED ) : To forget the death of her father, become a Quidditch player, and work professionally with magical creatures.
( PERSONALITY ) : Brianna wouldn’t be the first person to approach you and start a conversation. She’s more of an onlooker, preferring to watch the world from the sidelines, so to speak, rather than getting directly involved. Okay, so maybe that's not exactly what she prefers. She'd like to be involved, yes, but feels unable to do so. Socially crippled, she struggles to maintain friendships. She tries her best to help others, where she sees fit, but the lack of faith she possesses in herself has become an issue. She can never seem to gain enough courage to get herself to where she desires to be, and therefore, her shyness prevails. Thankfully she’s not a complete social failure. The girl has, and will, uphold a decent conversation when prompted. She’s very friendly, and has a rather nurturing spirit. She loves being given the option to help, even if it does make her nervous beyond repair. She’s not sure why or maybe she’s just not admitting it to herself, but, she’s always under the impression that she has something to prove. Not just to herself, but to everyone else too. She hates to disappoint anyone, especially her house. She’s always wished that she could be more involved, either by joining her Quidditch team, or signing up to become a prefect but… It’s always the but’s and ifs with her. She allows her fear over what her decisions may mean for the future to take precedence over her life. Of course, making zero choices of real consequence is far from what anyone would consider living…
As often as she dreams about being on a professional Quidditch team with her brother, Brianna’s fear of heights holds her back, immensely. Each year that’s gone by she’s desired to try out for the Quidditch team, and instead doesn’t, due to fear. She doesn’t want to embarrass herself, and at the same time she’s good at flying. During class, when made to fly, she’s surprised herself time and time again. After being in the air for a while, and getting a feel for the broom she’s riding upon, she doesn’t want to touch back down to earth. It could only help her to become more social, and overcome her fear, (joining her house team that is.) Brianna is trying her bet to focus on making change happen. As much as she tells herself, repeatedly, that she’s happy from the side lines? In truth, she’d be far happier if she could step out of the shadows. Since her time spent at Hogwarts, she rarely, if ever, feels like she’s grown at all as a person. She’s learned plenty, and knowledge means a great deal to her, but when it comes to growing as a person? At present, that means far more to her. She doesn’t want to disappoint her mother, or her brother, nor does she want to continue to feel like her father died in vain.
The only thing that Brianna loves just as much as flying, is Hippogriff’s. All magical creatures fascinate her, but the Hippogriff’s most of all. She’s spent as much time as she can down at the Game Keeper’s in order to observe the herd. The most renowned of all the Hippogriff’s was of course Buckbeak. Brianna couldn’t help that he became her favourite instantaneously after hearing that he attacked Draco Malfoy. Not to mention, she could tell that the creature was rather gentle and spirited. Her favourite class is, as is obvious, Magical Creatures. The majority of her attention goes to lessons taught regarding the many creatures in the wizarding world. She takes frequent notes, and does plenty of reading, hoping to someday be able to work professionally alongside all of the creatures she’s come to learn about. On her spare time, she can be caught watching the Hippogriff herd, or lending a hand with them if she’s lucky. She’d give anything to be able to ride them anytime she liked, but she knows how much trouble she’d get in if she tried to ride one unattended or even just outside of class…
Well she does her best to brush off her sexuality as no big deal, she’s always assumed that if anyone found out, it would just give them further cause to make fun of her. It’s pretty clear that the young woman doesn’t work too hard at standing up for herself. She tends to ignore her verbal abusers rather than retaliating with words or actions of any kind. She knows that there’s no point, because the blame could just as easily be put on her if a professor were to come walking on by. As much as she wants to get the Slytherin wizards off of her back, she just can’t find it in her to do so. Perhaps if she managed to make more friends, and gain some encouragement, she would find it more worthwhile to stand up for herself rather than getting walked all over. As forgiving as she tends to be, it’s not a wonder that she brushes off Slytherin’s harsh deeds. If they’re bothering another, however, then she views the matter much differently. She’s hard-pressed to stand by and watch someone else getting attacked. No, she just can’t bear it, especially not after the death of her father. Nothing else takes a toll on her quite like the death of her father has. She feels as if she’s responsible solely because she was too afraid to fight in the war to be able to stop it from happening. She only fought in order to keep attackers away from her and her mother, but when it came right down to it? She hid. She has a lot of respect for Hermione Granger, being in the heat of the battle and having both the courage and the bravery not to give up. When you’re hoping to protect your friends and loved ones, you don’t give up. Brianna knows that now, but too she knows that it’s too late to bring back her father, and so she blames herself for his death each day.

( HAIR ) : The young girl’s long hair is full of body and wave, which is envied by some. The dark chocolate brown color of her hair she considers to be nothing special, though she has a ton of natural red highlights throughout. Her hair has always been long, usually hanging just past her chest. She prefers long hair, not too lazy to upkeep it.
( EYES ) : Her eyes are a rich brown, and they take on an almond-shape. Her lashes are dark, but not all that long.
( FACIAL STRUCTURE ) : She has a rounded baby face, and bears a constant smile. The dimples in her cheeks add to her rather childish appearance. Her nose is small, and button-like, while her lower lip is far more pronounced than her upper. Her eyebrows are finely arched, dark like her hair. Her skin is fairly pallid, though not to the point of her looking sickly. Her complexion is nice and clear.
( BODY STRUCTURE ) : She's a very lean girl, with no real chest to speak of. She's small, in aspects. She has delicate-looking hands, that are very petite, with long, dexterous, fingers. She's rather leggy, due to her height. She stands at an impressive 5'9", making her taller than the average girl. She has some decent curves, to speak of. All of her is rather pale, she's incapable of tanning.
( ATTIRE ) : Brianna tends to be attracted to lighter colors. She often wears modest-clothing, in regards to her shirts. She likes vests, and over shirts, a fair bit. She's also a fan of jean jackets, and long, flowy, skirts. Occasionally she can be caught wearing a pair of mini-jean shorts, but that's the wildest anyone will ever see her get. She loves winter due to getting to wear comfortable, baggy, sweaters. Her favorite color is purple.
( PLAY-BY ) : Hannah Marks.

( PARENTS ) :[/size][/blockquote]
Hawkins Mackenzie {Father} - Wizard -- deceased
Elenore Mackenzie {Mother} - Witch
( SIBLINGS ) :
Dante Mackenzie {Brother} - Wizard, Quidditch Champion (Chudley Cannons)
( OTHERS ) :
Aunt Mcgillicuddy
Uncle Leopold Mackenzie
( HISTORY ) :
Born into the world of magic, and to the name: Brianna Gates Mackenzie, the young woman had a fairly decent family life up until the return of Voldemort. Brianna is the younger of two children. Her older brother Dante had more of her parents’ attention since he was far more outgoing, and involved in activities. He always had multitudes of friends at Hogwarts, and did Ravenclaw proud come Quidditch matches. He was a great Beater, and Brianna always envied him. Eldest by two years, neither one of the siblings felt like there was any real age difference between them. They both got along marvellously, and spent a lot of time together where they could. Dante's interests, save Quidditch, were far different than Brianna's, and he was way more focused on getting himself into a steady relationship than she ever was. He always commented on how life would be better once he had a pretty girl by his side. Of course, Brianna rarely believed him for how often he flirted with everyone. He was just that type that welcomed the attention.
Brianna’s whole family became obsessed with the return of Lord Voldemort, not that she could blame them. All any of them wanted to do was put a stop to the dark magic that was taking place about the world, and Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Well she wanted all of the evil to stop, same as the rest of the Mackenzie family; she didn’t want to have to fight. She was more concerned about her family getting seriously hurt, than about stopping the impending war. In that she felt selfish, but at the same time she was scared. With her family being all she felt she had, she couldn’t bear the idea of losing them…
Hawkins Mackenzie was a very proud man, not the type to take direction from anyone else, or be swayed on his opinions. Brianna found him hard to reason with, especially when she was younger. He demanded perfection from his children, wanting them to be the top of their classes, and the lead in every Quidditch match. When he discovered his daughter’s fear of heights was keeping her from playing the game, he was infuriated for a time. Eventually, he got over it, and just paid far more heed to his son. Thankfully, Brianna’s mother, Elenore, was a much more calm and gentle witch. She had plenty of patience with both of her children and only cared as to whether or not they were happy and enjoying their studies. Brianna, reasonably, felt like she could approach only her mother concerning matters of importance. She was very careful when it came to her father, always dodging around him and making sure not to get in his way. She just wanted to make him proud, yet she had no idea how, not with how much of a natural her brother was at pleasing their father.
When the war came, and everyone who was anyone came to defend Hogwarts, and, well, the entire world, Brianna hid. She wanted to keep her mother from harm, as well as her father and brother, but unfortunately the men of the Mackenzie family had far too much honor and pride to dare attempt to run from the fighting. They did Hogwarts proud, as well as their entire family. Brianna felt like the coward of the bunch, what with her mother doing all she could to join in the fighting as well. Deciding enough was enough, wanting to retrieve her father from amongst the fray, Brianna ran out, only to find him in a heated battle with a Death-eater. Stricken down right before her eyes, Brianna could do nothing but stare at the lifeless body of her father, nearly forgetting where she was. Her brother came rushing to her defense, injured from the battle, but otherwise alright. There wasn’t a person who didn’t have injuries from that day. All she had to show from the battling was a few cuts and bruises, mostly from falling. Nothing major, because she really hadn’t done much of anything to help that day. Her mother and brother seldom talk about the war, because the memory of it all is far too painful. She avoids the subject now as well, focusing on her studies at Hogwarts more than ever. She was happy to hear that they’d have to repeat the year, if only because she could put off being in the so-called real world for the time-being. Not at all feeling prepared to delve into a career, Brianna hides away amongst her books.
Her brother continues to be better at everything than she is, continuing to play Quidditch professionally for the Chudley Cannons. She’s proud of him, just like her father was, and yet she wishes she could be him. She feels like she’s no use as a witch, or as a part of the Mackenzie family.
