( LIKES ) : Flying, Quidditch, snow, running, the rain, her family & friends, sugar, candy, firewhiskey, playing the piano, gymnastics[/blockquote]
( DISLIKES ) : seeing her friends hurt, not seeing her friends at all, losing those she cares about, sour things, summer heat, liars, abusers, being alone, cooking, muggle fast food
( STRENGTHS ) : honest, quick, confident, superb chaser, intuitive, sympathetic
( WEAKNESSES ) : stubborn, reckless, obnoxious, blunt, disorganized, perfectionist
( AMORTENTIA) : wet pavement, clean laundry, chocolate.
( RIDDIKULUS! ) : darkness. When Katie’s boggart forms, the room she’s in turns black. No windows, no doors, no light at all. Katie’s biggest fear is complete darkness/the unknown.
( EXPECTO PATRONUM! ) : When she made the Quidditch team in her second year. She’d fallen in love with the sport the second she laid eyes on it in her first year, and being accepted onto the team was probably the greatest thing to happen to her.
( DEMENTOR'S KISS ) : Failing at becoming an Auror.
( MIRROR OF ERISED ) : More than anything else Katie just wants to be happy. For her, happiness comes in the form of other people. She wants a family, someone to share her life with, and for her friends to come back to her. She feels very alone lately. She hates being alone.
( PERSONALITY ) :
Sassy/Quick-witted- Katie Bell is one girl you don’t want to have an argument with. She’s always got some kind of comment, and most aren’t really that nice. She’s one who will stand up for herself and her friends without question. She’s full of insults for those who deserve them, and even some for those who don’t. During her years at Hogwarts she found herself in many verbal sparring matches with Fred and George Weasley. She uses her wit to make people laugh when she can. She enjoys the ‘jaw on the floor’ look people sometimes give her when a comment slips past her lips.
Obnoxious/Blunt - Katie says what she means. She doesn’t play games with people. She’ll always be honest with you, whether you want to hear it or not, but only when she knows when it’s good for you. She’s not honest to the point of being rude… most of the time. Sometimes, if you deserve it, she’ll be too honest with you. Katie’s very honest with herself, too. She knows her flaws, and accepts them. She isn’t ashamed of who she is, and she wishes more people were like that. On occasion she’ll be too honest to her friends, too. She’s gotten into a few fights with Angelina and Alicia over the years that way. Oliver Wood, too. Merlin, he did not want to hear what she had to say about practice. Ever. She’s always been loud, and a bit obnoxious, especially when she’s had sugar or firewhiskey.
Reckless/Stubborn - Along with occasionally speaking without thinking, Katie also acts without thinking. She follows her gut and her emotions. She doesn’t think things through very often, which is one of the reasons she failed at becoming an Auror. She was too much of a risk, and too irresponsible. Auror training taught her many things about herself, one of which was the fact that she thinks very short-term. She’ll run into a burning building if it means she’ll save even one life, even if she loses her own. During the situation training at the Auror’s office she ‘lost her life’ at least a dozen times, with the disappointing result of not saving anyone. She was too quick to act. She got into many arguments with the head of training because of her stubbornness. Katie always has to have the last word in an argument, including those she has with her superiors. Since Auror training she’s learned to begin to think things through before she says them. Katie has the ability to be very manipulative and vindictive, but she chooses not to be.
Resilient/Sympathetic - Katie Bell is resilient. Throughout everything with her ex-boyfriend Jason, throughout losing Fred who was one of her best friends, throughout losing Angelina and George in the process of losing Fred, Katie has never given up hope, or allowed herself to fall into despair. She is a fighter, emotionally and physically (if she has to be) and she is completely unaware of where her emotional strength comes from. She bounced back from losing Fred, and two of her best friends, but she is completely unaware how. There are times when she pauses and asks if there’s something wrong with her. She guilts herself for feeling so okay, when she has no idea where Angelina even is, and knows George is suffering unimaginably. She is very sympathetic toward the suffering of others, especially those she loves.
Disorganized/Perfectionist – Katie Bell could not be more messy. Her room is always a mess, clothes everywhere. She couldn’t keep track of a schedule if she tried. But she is a perfectionist in the sense that she herself feels the need to be ‘perfect.’ She puts an immense amount of pressure on herself to succeed, and the day she was told she didn’t pass her Auror training was probably the worst day of her life. Though Katie is obnoxious, loud, and blunt, she cares an immense amount of what other people think of her, and when she fails at something, she takes it very much to heart. She expects to succeed at everything the first time she tries, which is an unrealistic expectation, but one she has of herself nonetheless. She’s been trying her hardest to work through those tendencies because they drive her absolutely mad, and she spends days crying over something that, in the long run, shouldn’t even matter! Alas, Katie Bell’s brain is, as you know, very short-term.
Nonjudgmental – Katie refuses to judge people when she first meets them, and she knows not to allow people’s pasts to define them. She is completely neutral to people until she gets to know them herself. She refuses to take other people’s opinions of something and allow them to become her own. She will decide for herself what you’re like, even if people warn her that you’re a bad person or not worth her time. It’s part of her being so stubborn.

( HAIR ) : Katie has shoulder length blonde hair that she wore in a ponytail all the time until one day Oliver told her she should leave it down. She laughed at him, told him to shut up, and kept walking. But since then she usually does wear her hair down. It hangs loosely over her shoulder, but occasionally she’ll put it into French braids or a nice up-do, if she’s feeling particularly girly. Katie adores her hair, and would never ever cut it. She keeps it trimmed so it will stay healthy, but she will never wear short hair.
( EYES ) : Katie has almond shaped, hazel (grey-blue), piercing eyes. She has long-ish eyelashes and despite her blonde hair her eyebrows are a darker color.
( FACIAL STRUCTURE ) : Katie has a round chin, high cheekbones, and when she smiles she has dimples. Her forehead is moderately sized for her face, but it’s not obnoxiously large.
( BODY STRUCTURE ) : Katie is pretty short, only 5’4 with a muscular build. She isn’t stick thing, but she isn’t large either, and she is full of muscle even though you can’t see it. Years of throwing a quaffle and flying will do that to you. She has a slender build. She has a large bum, but is very lacking in the chest area. Thanks, genetics!
( ATTIRE ) : Katie usually dresses in jeans, a pair of black heels, and whatever top she feels like wearing that day. When she dresses up she’ll wear a dress. When she’s cleaning or at home alone she’ll wear a large t-shirt and nothing more. When she’s feeling sick she’ll wear nothing but sweatpants and a large t-shirt until she feels better. She adores big, comfy sweaters, shoes, and odd, colorful socks.
( PLAY-BY ) : Imogen Poots.

( PARENTS ) : Allison Bell, 45, nurse, mother, very close with Katie. Allison finds magic to be an extraordinary gift, and thinks Katie is incredibly special for being able to do magic.[/blockquote]
Noah Bell, 47, accountant, father, closer to Katie’s brother than with Katie, but still very proud of Katie for being a witch.
( SIBLINGS ) : Kyle, 21, incredibly close with Katie. He’s also very protective of her. He thinks Katie’s being a witch is one of the coolest things to ever happen in his life, even though it has nothing to do with him. He is the person Katie talks about magic to most when she’s at home.
( OTHERS ) : Katie has many aunts and uncles, and a lot of cousins. Her family is particularly close to her father’s brother Brian, and her mother’s sister Amy.
( HISTORY ) : Katie Bell was born to Noah and Allison on a cold night in November, two years after they had her older brother, Kyle. When she was younger she thought nothing of her strange ability to break glasses when she was angry or to make things float when she was feeling happy. She began noticing these things at the young age of four, but never said anything to any of her family. One day Kyle caught her making a book float around her room, and his eyes widened and he asked her to teach him how to do it.
“I can’t teach you,” she replied simply. “It just happens.”
For months after that Katie knew Kyle would be silently trying to make things float, but she only watched with a small smirk on her four-year-old face. When she was five she began taking piano lessons as well as gymnastics. Katie was never very graceful on her feet, always running into walls and things of that nature, but she was as graceful as could be when it came to the bars. Take her feet off the ground and she was magnificent. She won many competitions and continued performing gymnastics until her eleventh birthday. On her eleventh birthday Albus Dumbledore knocked on her door, explaining to her and her parents and her brother that Katie was in fact a witch. Thirteen-year-old Kyle laughed and spun Katie around saying “I always knew you were different, Kat!” Her mother began to cry, and her father sat there with a look of shock upon his face. Eleven-year-old Katie, however, thought it was the most awesome thing to ever happen in the history of ever. When her mother was done crying they sat together as a family, and told her that they were more proud of her than she would ever know. Katie’s mother took her to Diagon Alley the very next day to pick up all of her supplies.
In her first year nothing very exciting happened to Katie except for the fact that she discovered Quidditch and fell madly in love, and when she took her first flying lesson, she knew that once again she’d be more graceful in the air than she ever was on her feet. In her second year she tried out for chaser with Alicia Spinnet and Angelina Johnson. The three of them were accepted and she later met Fred and George Weasley and Captain Oliver Wood. The group would cause chaos in the Great Hall and pretty much everywhere else they went, and they were the best friends Katie ever could have asked for. She got into arguments with Fred and George all the time, and she was constantly telling Oliver he needed to lighten up. She became good friends with Leanne over the years. When Fred and George were banned from Quidditch and left Hogwarts Katie would never forget it it. The memory of it still makes her laugh, and cry.
In the summer of her sixth year Katie began dating one of her brother’s friends Jason. Things went smoothly for the first few months of their relationships, but that year when Katie went home for Christmas is when the verbal abuse started. He wanted to know where she went when she went off to school, and she lied to him the best she could, but he never wanted to hear it. He always thought (or knew) she was lying, and eventually the physical abuse began. He’d hit her time and time again, and Katie would fight back, but she refused to leave him. She didn’t want to give him the satisfaction of knowing he broke her. So she refused to break. The summer before Katie started her seventh year Kyle found out what was happening and beat Jason to a bloody mess, thus ending the relationship.
After graduation from Hogwarts Katie planned to become an Auror, but the war stopped any of that progress. She came back to fight with Oliver, Alicia, and Angelina. She wasn’’t there to see what happened to Fred, but seeing his body was enough to shatter a small part of her world. Fred had been one of her best friends, and losing him was something that Katie had never, in a million years, expected to happen. She looked at the Quidditch team like her family, so losing Fred was a little like losing a brother, though she’d never dare say that aloud to George. She couldn’t even begin to fathom how he felt. She tried her best to be there for George and Angelina after what had happened, but Angelina soon disappeared, and George sealed himself away from most, too. So, Katie tried her hand at becoming an Auror once more. She failed. Miserably. And the day they told her to go home was another day that shattered her heart. She had failed not only herself, but also her parents. They’d expected such great things of her, how was she going to tell them that she failed them? So now she’s trying to fill the hole left in her life with another love – Quidditch. The Holyhead Harpies have an opening, and she has every intention of going for it.

( ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE ) :Darkness surrounded her, everywhere. No doors, no windows, no light at all. “Lumos,” Katie frantically whispered but nothing happened as she whipped her wand from her pocket. Panic began to choke her. It started at her heart, which was suffocating within her chest.
“Lumos!” she shouted. The panic moved to her throat. She couldn’t breathe. She was going to suffocate and die here in the dark, alone.
“LUMOS!” she was screaming now, as she stood up and began to run, the panic making its way to her eyes, not that there was anything to see anyway. She continued, running, running, running as fast as her feet would take her. She thought of the running drills that Oliver used to have them do around the pitch, the aching in her legs becoming greater, the burning in her throat overwhelming. She sucked in a deep breath and kept pushing. Never stopping, never looking back. Tears were pouring down her face as fear took hold of her and refused to let go. She heard noises, saw things. People of all shapes, colors, and sizes, threatening her, looming above her, closing in on her.
“Lumos!” she cried out again, desperate for light, to know where she was, to rid herself of the demons that surrounded her.
Still running, still pushing, still crying, and then one was right in front of her.
“No!” she screamed throwing up her hands in front of her to stop them, tripping backwards in the process. The people loomed over her, and dove at her, and all at once she was screaming and suffocating and dying.
And then it was over.
“Bell! You have to face your fears!” a man shouted from the darkness, and Katie’s eyes flew open to the blinding white lights of the training room. “You’re going to be useless if you can’t get over your fears!” The head of training at the Auror’s office barked. Katie’s heart beat slowly died down to normal as she tried to catch her breath. All a simulation, all a test, she told herself as she swallowed hard, her hand still clunching her wand desperately, and it was only then that she realized the tip of her wand was indeed lit.
She narrowed her eyes at the man. “I’ll never be useless!” she shouted at him as she rose from her seat. He walked toward her, an angry look in his eyes.
“You’ll be whatever I say you are, got that Bell? Or I’ll have you go through that fear test over and over and over again until it drives you MAD!” he shouted at her, and Katie inhaled sharply at the threat.
“I’m scared of the dark, not you. My wand will never not work. It will never not light up, so don’t tell me I’ll be useless. I’ll get the job done,” she said, their eyes locked momentarily. “Nox.” Her wand ceased to be lit.
“You’re gonna get yourself killed with that mouth and attitude of yours one day,” the man spat.
“Good thing that’s not today then,” Katie said back with a smirk and the tilt of her head.
“Go get some food, Bell” he sighed out exasperatedly, finally breaking eye contact with her and leaving the room.
